That one guy that tapped to a headlock wasn’t even a choke. It was just uncomfortable. I’ve been in that position a bunch of times but eventually they get tired and burn their arms out believing they actually got something. But if someone isn’t accustomed to rolling they would probably panic and tap out even though they aren’t being choked.

That is a kesa-gatame, it's a judo pin and when done right puts huge pressure on your diaphragm making very hard to breathe. I have tapped out heaps of people with this move in bjj matches it's works great.
