MLS TOUR 22: VLOG #16 SEATTLE SOUNDERS VS FC DALLAS @ LUMEN FIELD
Hey Everyone! After a brief break from the MLS Tour, I am back with a new episode in the series. A busy week indeed with back-to-back-to-back games! The Pacific Northwest! The Cascades! Hitting all 3 teams in the region, including the 1st Canadian stop on the tour! However, 1st stop on the agenda was Lumen Field in Seattle, WA, which is home to the Seattle Sounders as well as the NFL franchise, Seahawks.
After landing early morning in PDX, we made our way to Tigard, OR and checked into our base for the next 2 days (Thanks Jerm & Nynna). Shortly after, we picked up our rental and made the 3 hour drive up to Seattle. The Emerald City truly is a gem of a place! With so much to do, see, and eat, the city has it all! I like to think we made most of our short stay. We hit Chihuly Garden and Glass Museum upon arriving into the city, a 1st for myself and after a rather quick, but beautiful visit full of Chihuly's staple glasswork, we headed to Ivar's Fish Bar, which is renowned for their delicious Clam Chowder! The best in the west imho. Finally after a 17 minute walk, we reached the fortress that is Lumen Field. Right away my jaw dropped as we approached the gates, as it should for it is a venue for the 2026 World Cup. The lime green accents could be seen throughout the enormous stadium. After grabbing the usual pin and pint (Guinnessless), We headed to our seats and the 1st view of the pitch was extraordinary. The match itself was well fought and although the chances were slim it made for a spectacle. Seattle earned a penalty after a brief VAR check and managed to convert it to make it 1 nil. The score would remain and the Sounders ultimately took all 3 points, a monumental result for their playoff aspirations.

Ok you missed out on a big part of the experience. Next time go to occidental square 1 hour before the match so you join the Emerald City Supporters (ECS) for the march to the match.
Going to revs game today. Are you going to see a revs game during the season

Yo I was literally there a few weeks ago! City is dope. I was there for the Seattle Sounders vs Colorado Rapids game. Just a week before I went back home to see FC Dallas vs LA galaxy featuring chicharito and Douglas Costa lol. It seems you entered on the same side I did except l was sitting on the other side that you did across the field in the corner. Dope you got to see my team play again. That penalty was bullshit but oh well we gotta move on and keep our heads up I guess lol. Glad you enjoyed. Definitely should go back the city is nice. People were chill too.
