There’s actually logical explanation for the cover athletes “curse”. If you are chosen to be the cover athlete on a video game it’s typically because you’re coming off of a career year. There’s very few players that end up with multiple years of that high quality of play. It makes sense for a decline in success after being a cover athlete.

jazz & javi never deserved to be cover athletes anyway, mlb cover curse doesn’t exist.

At least none of them have completely fallen off a cliff yet other than Baez

Nah jazz was hurt like 70% of his cover debut season
