I played in a semi pro stadium for high school but they never turned the scoreboard on for us.

On my baseball team we always communicate how many outs there are. Among infielders, outfielders, and base coaches to runners. Obviously MLB is a marathon sport, nearly a game every day for 6-7 months, and men are bound to get tired and forget these things from time to time. It just helps to communicate outs.

As an ump, I am SO glad to know that even MLB players and umps forget how many outs there are!

It's really weird when you see the middle infielders or catchers forget, since they're the ones who generally most have their heads in the game as far as baserunner/outs situations.

i have no respect for Cano as a baseball player anymore. Too much shit like this. Then there's no remorse after the fact. In fact, he's so chill and nonchalant about how he plays the game, it's actually COOL that he forgot. He's real hot shit in his own mind

You should find some clips of umpires forgetting the count of the batter in the at bat and put it into a vid

That was pretty clever showing Encarnacion prancing around second for his extra base to third as the beneficiary of a mistake, and then in the very next clip getting picked off second base as the goat!

This video was certainly needed!

Always better to try to get the fourth out, than to throw the ball into the stands after the second out.

These moments are always funny...when they happen to someone else.

Seems to be a common Dodgers mistake.

Watching baseball from the mid 60's through the 1994 season. Don't recall seeing so many players not paying attention to the game. Don't they care or are they just plain stupid?....This is truly pathetic.

Let's say a outfielder mistakenly tosses a ball into the stands with just one or two out. A runner sees the mistake and tries to advance. A fan catches the ball and realizes that there are not three outs. The fan throws the ball in toward the infield to an infielder who catches it and tags or throws the runner out. Is the runner out? In other words can a fan in the stands make an assist?
