Will still always belive that at least 50% of the time, its the catcher that give the pitcher a special to actually throw at the batter, and that is why, all those years ago, saw that one video where the batter got thrown at and the first thing the batter did was give a round house kick right to the catchers chest then he went after the pitcher, this is why a number of times you actually see managers of the teams yell at the catchers.......

No matter what, every time I see an ump get confrontational I get pissed. Look, you blow a call, it happens. You tell them to stop bitching after hearing them out, ok. But when you see an ump “show up” a player or a manager or throw a guy out for walking away EVEN IF THEY’RE still talking, then you’re not ready to be in the majors. These guys are playing for large money and you’re not the star. You’re the ump. You don’t have to take abuse, but when you’re looking into the dugout, or following after a guy, you’re being the punk and the league should implement a way for the team to appeal a toss when something like that happens.

They keep saying it was a change up only 86mph....IT WAS TO THE HEAD....and 86 is not slow and not soft...ESPECIALLY TO THE HEAD. that warrants an ejection for not being safe. It wasn't on accident.
@Seemsayin4 жыл бұрын
Batters who try to bunt, should do so, at their own risk. I don't see how a pitcher can be liable for hitting the extended hand, relocated to the barrel of the bat, from the handle. When you deliberately move your hand from the handle, you intentionally increase the chance that the ball will make contact with a body part. Sort of like standing directly in front of the plate. Depending upon where the ball winds up after the hit, it's either a fair, or foul ball. I don't know the official rules. Just my 2 cents.
@wesnall6796
2 жыл бұрын
I know it’s been a year, but I’ll clarify the rules. If the batter is actively attempting to bunt at the ball, and it hits his hand, the pitch is a strike, the ball is dead, and no runners advance. If the batter is not attempting to strike the ball; but has his hand in the strike zone, the pitch is called a strike, the ball is dead, and no runners advance. If the batters is not attempting to strike the ball, and his hand is out of the strike zone, but does not attempt to avoid getting hit, the pitch is called a ball, the ball is dead, and no runners advance (unless it’s ball 4). Lastly, if he gets his out of the zone, and has attempted to avoid getting hit, it is a hit batter.

@@Seemsayin in essence, I was highlighting that there’s only one instance in which the pitcher is truly deemed “liable” for hitting the hand of the hunter. That’s basically if he threw a pitch that missed the strike zone and hit the batter while the batter wasn’t attempting to hit the ball. Much the same as he would be liable for missing the strike zone and hitting any other part of the batter while the batter wasn’t attempting to hit the ball.

The Astros/Rangers ejection at 4:40-ish is just downright idiotic. Players are gonna chirp in the dugout. Just call the fucking game and don't go looking for trouble, Kulpa. Geez...

Love the videos. Thanks!
The Pirates and Reds melee was started by the Reds manager not by the Pirates pitcher as the commentators said.
Can a batter ware body armor well in the batter box?
I can’t take it serious when the bull pens rush out together but wait to get to the masses before squaring off with each other. Then they trot back to the pens together…
The fact that this is so common is one of the main reasons baseball is plummeting in popularity.

The way to cool down the Dugout is to call balls and strikes properly ..
Some of these low pitches. The next batter should come out with a 1 wood in sted of a bat.
if the umpire's strike zone is on another planet why can't you question it?

The fan touched the ball, but I don't think that can be interference because in order for the outfielder to make the catch, he would have had to reach above the wall. It should've been fair game for the fan to catch the ball, and make it a home run

@@markmelchior726 I could be wrong, but I think the metric is whether the fan reaches over the fence...i.e. breaks the plane of the wall extended upward (like the goal line in football)

@@ryandonovan5895 You very well could be right, but the way I have always understood the rule is they have to interpret whether or not the ball would've landed over the fence if the fielder were not there and if there were no fans right there. Again, you could be right.
Waiting on when we can send the ump out and get a reserve to officiate. These umps are primadonna

I say if an umpire touches you first you have alright to move him out of the way
Manager has been watching reruns of Earl Weaver being thrown out too much
I noticed quite a few times the home plate umpire holding his hand up to the dugout in order to let the team know he's had enough. Has a team ever backed down and avoided an ejection in that situation? I highly doubt it.
Gotta love the commentator on the Kemp ejection.. ‘if you take the box away… that’s not a strike!’ 😂😂😂 It was close and may have clipped the bottom of the zone but just a moronic comment.

There should be a way to make the umpires pay for their mistakes.
Im not a big baseball guy I was wondering if someone could explain to me why they still go with umpires when they have the technology to tell where the strike zone is.
@thetrainwxgeek

Because it keeps the human element in the game. In the minor league they have it where there would still be a home plate umpire but would have an ear piece and someone would tell him if it’s a ball or strike based off of the virtual strike zone

because the technology isnt ready enough to come to the bigleagues. That box on tv you see doesnt change from batter to batter like it does in real life and they've had issues with the accuracy of the electronic zone in the league they are experimenting in
When players all rush in . Mostly one of them will start to fight .
Hold me back! I might be inclined to act tougher than I most certainly know I am!
I've seen better eye on potatoes than what these umpires have got .
An hour and nineteen minutes of video and no Angel Hernandez? That guy is the poster child of bad umpiring.
Is it a pre requisite to be useless to get hired as a major league umpire?

Has the umpire ejecting a manager ever actually ended the argument? The guy's going to finish his rant anyway, and all the ejection does is make him even more angry. "No, no, no. Don't do that. If you shoot him, you'll just make him mad." - Waco Kid

The crew chief should let the manager have his say stop getting between the two arguing

I guess an 86 mph pitch doesn't hurt???
@leifopstad2972
2 жыл бұрын
I think the broadcasters' point was, why would the pitcher be intentionally hitting the batter with that velocity
1:16:00 I can't believe the announcers..this is the only one the ups got right. Hit by pitch to the head. They keep saying it was a change up only 86mph....IT WAS TO THE HEAD....and 86 is not slow and not soft...ESPECIALLY TO THE HEAD. that warrants an ejection for not being safe. It wasn't on accident.
@wesnall6796
