Thank you! I appreciate these beginners videos, and am considering getting the MLA-30+: So helpful to see an example, and makes it less daunting.
I have had excellent luck with the MLA-30. It seems to lose it's luster above 10mhz to some extent and my other HAM antennas perform better there. Without this, on the lower bands, my noise level is too high to be any fun and the MLA has really been a game changer for me. Side note, I use this as a receive antenna with my HAM gear and transmit on the other antennas that aren't too far away. Always feared taking out the LNA doing this but I'm going on year #3 with no issue... even while running 800 or so watts out of an amp in fairly close proximity. Can't beat it for the price!!
This is a great antenna. I use it for one year now. it stands on the inner windowsill and I 'm very satisfied with it. 👍 My receiver is a Malahit DSP 1. I could have bought the DSP2, but this one iwas a bit cheaper. 🙂
