@@atietta i agree, recency bias is so bad in ultimate that i cant tell if ppl are trolling half the time. However it feels weird to list the yaura loss as a knock on spargo considering he won that super major when it was all said and done. I mean even when leo was truly unstoppable, its not like he never got sent to losers. Tht samus is cold tho

Leo is the king of reverse sweeps. What a great set, my favourite match between these two players. Wanted to see Leo's Joker in this mu for a while. Never doubt the GOAT, the Joker was super clean, very glad it's back.

Okay firstly no lmao cloud off ledge does not put a threat out like others say (cap falc , yoshi , samus) Especially if his eye height is under the stage ledge, and he has horizontal recovery to worry about then vertical , limit clim hazard or not that’s a nasty spike waiting for my boy Like there’s so many “little” things that can be pointed out but honestly it’s just my personal experience with things

He changed the difficulty level to demon mode when he chose joker. MkLeo is the kind of guy you're not allowed to relax in the advantage phase, because that's when he's most dangerous.

Too high maintenance to play at top level consistently. Plus people figured out the joker matchup a while ago, but now that his Joker has been gone this gives him a chance to capitalize on lack of top level practice against the character

@@KuYa_Boiwhat are you talking about ? When Leo is playing joker not being rusty no one has ever figured it out. That has never happened. Everyone watching knows Leo took massive breaks from the game. When he’s locked in as joker he’s never been beat

The amount each of these players adapts is insane. Like they are constantly recognizing and trying to counter what the other is doing to a way higher degree than you see most other players.

Grand finals for top 8. This was definitely the best set of the tournament for me.

What a great set considering that this is just to qualify for top 8 losers' side. Leo is making the Joker-Cloud matchup look pretty decent for Joker, which makes sense if Joker can get the right angles to make optimal use of his quicker speed. Sparg0's Aegis counter-pick was interesting, and I'd love to see more Joker-vs.-Aegis play from these two. Frankly, Sparg0 usually plays Aegis better than he did here. I know that Aegis's recovery is considered not very good, but *usually* from watching Sparg0 play Aegis, you usually wouldn't know. This time, however, his recovery was really buggy, so I'm going to guess that he was playing nervous, or something. He lost his first stock in SD, doing a nair for some reason instead of snapping the ledge. The second stock was more an edge-guard than a pure SD, but still Sparg0 was still maybe not going for the snap in the best possible way. And the third stock was just a full SD. So maybe there is more potential for this counter-pick than the result would suggest. I wish these guys played every week, but as it is we usually have to wait quite a while between Leo-Sparg0 matches. Not even sure when they'll next be in the same tournament.
