Did one on mine on Mk4 Golf with Mk7 Key! Even though my car never has electric boot release! Took a while to get the old key blade off the old key so I don’t have to go to the key place to get the key cut! Lovely little modification I ever had!😊

very good video and good work, but it does not look like you removed the transponder and that is the most delicate apart

I put in there nail polish remover and after 2 mins. I can't find anymore the transmitter. Can it dissolve?

And why would you change the best key ever made golf 4 , 5 and 6 keys , which are almost indestructible for a golf 7 key which they don't last long

what exactly is the key model? the previous link does not work. I bought a golf mk7 key case, but the passat b5.5 key electronics do not fit

How did you get the tiny pin out of the actual key?? You kind of conveniently skipped that bit. It's tiny, and mine won't move at all...

I used a small punch and hammer, held it in a vice. 👍

i did this tutorial and after a short while my buttons stopped unlocking/locking the doors. My key still turns the locks, but button doesnt. The light blinks when buttons are pressed. any help?

@@rorywillis6590 agreed the new one looks nicer. But the old one is smaller and has more rounders corners so it's more pocket friendly.

This is not real mk7 fob case though ?

Problem here. After everything is done, and after two days everything working OK, I have immobilizer active now and can't start the car with this key
