Beautiful design, all the blade ya need for knife stuff. The Condor Ripper , Tops Brakimo and Becker BK18 all have that same edge style. They are all different grinds of course but basically they have that nice mild sweep to tip. I have the Brakimo and the BK18 amd you can line the edges up perfectly . Your handle design is excellent esp the bolts being close to the edge . I've never really considered that , I just learned something new . Honesrly I prefer simple Carbon Steel, I have a couple blades in fancy steel, and they really ain't needed in real life. Hi Rob, mk2 knife looks realy nice, and performed well, should be an ideal bushcraft knife for most people and I think Mors would have approved of your design, and build quality. An all around far more practical knife to take to the wood's. You've put your own experience whith long term knife usage doing bushcraft into the design , and undoubtedly sage advice from the one and only Mors , and the end result is something to be proud of, and hopefully achieves you aim to get back to your original idea of a knife for the woods. Cheers Rob mate, I hope your doing well, stay safe, best wishe's to you and your's, Stuart UK.

Thanks, I appreciate it.
That's a really nice looking practical knife. Everything you need and no gimmicks. Spot on. Thank you for the video

@@RobEvansWoodsman well it's my fiftieth next year so I know what I want now 😁
Great video! Like the knife! I definitely think it needs a more arched and thicker handle. Keep up the good work.
Very impressive video, Rob 👍 The knife looks awesome and it seems to perform astonishing! You performed a big variety of bushcraft tasks in the video. I immediately got the desire to carve and try out a bow drill set for myself as well. Can´t wait to see part 2 of the video... 😉

There's a short accompanying video coming but part two will be about 2 weeks.
Hell of a great knife Rob. I just know it would feel amazing in the hand 👍 And when you feather stick it looks so easy like you’re shaving a bar of soap 😉 Well done mate!
Looks like you are on to a winner with the knife I notice you use willow alot for bowdrill, do you never use the conifer wood. Pine is my favourite I always found willow a pain in the bum to get a good coal, more fiber than dust I do have an abundance of crowded out pines round here mind

I have to use what's available and sadly no pine around me. Willow can "sausage" quite often.
Thank you for not putting your thumb on the back of the blade during power cuts. I am amazed at how many people do that and lose most of their power doing so.

Not my first rodeo🤣 That nonsense of placing your thumb on the back of the blade gets on my tits, just like jimping and pushing down hard against a log to make feather sticks is just torture to watch.
What a great knife! That one would be very much liked by Mors. Nothing wrong with your skills either. Looking forward to 'part 2'.

I've heard of that with a few people.

All good here thanks mate, hopefully you can say the same thing.
Another great video! Thanks for putting the prototype through its paces for us all - watched the whole thing, no problem on length. Enjoyed every second and love the detail. Particularly interested the “pry bar” moment, but it made me cringe! Always thinking the bolts and handles will burst with any twisting/ prying haha… I’m never sure how far to push a knife and it was nice to see how these are strong tools (within reason of course). Thanks Rob!

I was lucky enough to purchase a mk1 it out performs all of my other knives some of which are more than double the price it's by far my favourite. I own woodlore and nessmuk style knives and I find the mk1 design to be superior for most tasks I've never commented about it before because I like to put a knife through long term use . If the mk2 is anything like the mk1 it will be a bargain. Thanks One knife junkie to another 😂

@@RobEvansWoodsman Read your comment so went back and watched your video again to make sure, firstly Sorry KZread wont let me give you two likes!! Secondly I'd be waiting for a call from Roger for ripping off his knife 😂😅. All I can honestly say is If your MK2 knife performs like the Bison then youve got a cracker on your hands.... even in 3v!!
3.30 youl see the "blurry" un focus in the senter ..left side of your mouth an so on ....take care my frind
👍👍👍👍👍👍
The design looks sound
Was gonna ask about the idea behind the angle of the top? But I guess its all for woodcrafting purposes?

Yes, fine carving duties with the thinner lower point, I carved a spoon with it on Saturday and it worked really well.
Nice one, glad it fared well. Do you think you'll fatten up the handle anyway or see how it fairs carving first. Nice little camp area too 👍
