I feel there is a some utility that goro has that you miss here. I am a shang tsung and goro main and imo goro is probably the best kameo for him, he allows shang tsung to combo from 1, 2 as well as F+4,1 giving you easy 30% combos. Not only that but catching an opponent with the DF2 special move with goro he can extend it to a 21% combo. The best thing about goro is probably the safety he provide. Pressing rb after most of shang tsungs strings including B+1,2 in the young form lets you be completely safe and not only that you get plus frames which allow you to continue the pressure, in the corner it is especially scary for the opponent. The goro stomp, while it takes up all of the kameo charge, during very late game when both players are a few hits from death and it can often be life saving

Goro is actually my favorite kameo. His utility is very underrated and I agree Shang will perfectly benefit from it.

!!IMPORTANT!! Your Kameo should always cover your weaknesses! One thing I haven't covered is Kameo Reversals! Use them in wake up situations and test which ones you can benefit from! You missed what I use Motaro for, the faster fatal blow, which Shang Tsung has trouble getting long combos into without it

Personally been using cyrax for shang tsung, I think that he just adds a lot more pressure into my play-style of being in their face with a lot of pressure. He also has decent utility with the net catches people off guard a lot.

I only like Jax for combos. He catches after ground fireballs pretty well and you can catch with DF1 Enhance to bring them towards. Makes it easy to get the bed of spikes brutality

Goro allows you to combo off his 124 and you can use him to be plus on basically all block strings...... but...... his charge rate is slow so you cant use it for constant pressure meaning you have to manage the bar more. Strong AF but takes management and practice

Sareena’s Meter Burn works better for Young Shang’s projectiles at long range. It’s a good way to lockdown your opponent from far away and drain a little bit of meter. Personally, I find her Boomerang assist to be the most convenient way to change between Young and Old form.

Kano should be in A tier.As a Shang main shang can call kano ball for zoning,pressure with chip damage like F4212 K BR2 BF2.But u can also bait for amor like F4212 with Kano u can also make 40% dmg with F4212 DF1 (4 Df1 twice) K 4 DF1 4 DB3 and the Wake up kinda safe tho if u call Kameo at the right timming.Jax Also might be a good kameo if you have set up with him. I hop nrs can bring more kameo like Kano or some Kameo have abilities like him

i wanna have jax as my kameo but he's definitely more of a hindrance..since his fist ground move will also throw you off balance. also your showcasting of jax........yep. that's a nail on the coffin lmao, he's like sonya, they don't fit shangs playstyle. it sucks too, i really don't want to use kung lao, sektor or sareena. i feel there's too many of those kameos and all that we've come across in kl makes me want to stay further away from those kameos. i hope nrs will make one of the dlc kameos a right fit for shang. if i had to select a kameo now, i would go for scorpion with shang

Seems like shang was designed to work without Kameos. It's hard to add anything to his kit. Im enjoying kano/stryker/sub rn have to give scorpion another chance :)

@@Raivazz good fine point ;w; even in your matches you always landed combos without your kameo. i've been seeing you use your kameos mostly to keep other players at bay for shang, hmmm. out of the kameos you use stryker is my favorite lol, please give scorpion another chance, i know he's a right fit for li mei but lets-a-go, lets do this, lets try this
