Imo done to perfection from a basket case literally to a stunning escort I would be proud to own and show in your company name . It’s shown with skill determination and bloody hard graft you can get a quality car at the end . Engine builders lucky your honourable and haven’t named them ! Well done guys . Shame about the engine but keep us updated. 2 things. Great to hear Weber carbies roar and great to see the front bumpers are level !!! One of my pet hates grrr

if its was me pretty as it can be, that head would be off in 20min, check the gasket cracks, check faulty springs or seeping valve. would doubt anything wrong with bottom end as there no smoke coming from the exhaust can only be cylinder head that needs checking. imagine taking a motor out 7 times in day just because the engineer forgot to replace my dial pins on the block which cause the starter not to line up, it kept slipping until i noticed the gearbox had a slight tilt fitted them dial and boom sorted. love my car nothing can comes close to the feeling of a mk1 escort quick and raw with best tunes coming from under the hood. well done gents amazing work and done to perfection better than factory. i restored 3 escorts and its not and easy job nor fun at time proper hard work, sweat and patience

Guys I'm in awe of the car....absolutely stunning....one of the nicest I have seen..as for the the engine I'd hope the builder would sort it.

Looks wonderful. I think you might have forgotten to install the plastic sheet behind the interior door trims. Critical for damp and water control so the trim does not root and cause door frame rust

Great built would love to see that colour in the flesh was popping on the video. The engine will get sorted hopefully something simple.

My heart normally drops when I hear "let's recap what we've done" but this was great; I'd forgotten just how rotten it was and how much fun you had sorting it out. On top of that, you're both so upbeat about everything, even the fact that your engine builder has dropped a bollock. Only you two can see the bright side (more videos) in that. Finally, you haven't got AN Escort for £20k; you've got THE Escort; it's gorgeous.

Stunning work guys, not going to gripe that my colour choice of diamond white with bronze wheels didn’t make the cut, if i squint a bit i can disregard the blue… looks great by the way. Only comment needed about the engine problem is hope the “engine rebuilding company “ gave a warranty. Get it out, send it back and charge them for your labour…. Just my opinion. Looking forward to seeing it on the road.

fantastic looking car, brilliant build

Magnificent workmanship at a breakneck pace superbly executed. My choice would have been either all Ermine white or all solid black in both cases with black wheels and all the standard brightwork. No roll cage and comfy seats Must be a cracked casting it ran badly before it got any heat in to it compression must be entering the cooling system.

Really enjoyed this build guy,s,very well done,so sad to hear of the engine problem,maybe the inlet valve not seating properly,or piston ring issue,hope you get it sorted soon,!looking forward to next project very much.
