Hi Wynand. Thank you. Problem is the 298 cam kills the bottom end now with too much low end torque. Should have done that in second gear.

Try increase compression ratio and increase final drive ratio😊

Try from 1st gear but rev it to the moon to about 7000 revs🔥

Hi there. Yes I will do a 1st gear pull and second gear next time. Problem is I have too much low end torque with the 298 cam.

@@ritchiesridemk1vwbuild853this thing has no torque!!! Put a 260 if you want to see torque! This cam seems pointless or add a turbo to see if the cam works great with forced induction

Hi there. Its all up to you, fuel injection is very good but so is a weber carburetor, pls do not use the std vw carburetor not a performance carb. If you want to do a weber set up, contact Louis find them on internet Ace motor sports.

Changing too soon. 298 can rev to about 7000rpm

Hi there. Yes you are right. I did change too soon. 3rd gear was not the best choice. I should have done a second gear pull would have been better.
