There are many artists out there, undiscovered by the majority, that are 'generational talent'. The only difference between Mk.gee and such artists are rhat he was able to break through the attention economy. Music is a commodity, mainstream ""content"" is simply repeating a repeat of a repeat of someone else's influence, and art for art's sake remains underground. In case you didn't read, I love Mk.gee. Straight up. Still, I believe this type of comment is nothing but blind fanaticism. I'm sure there's equally as much 'generational talent' in underground scenes or even international scenes. Hell, Mk.gee's music is heavily indebted to Black musical roots. I'm sure there's cool POC musicians out there doing stuff as nice as Mk.gee. Don't ask me who bc I don't know, I have a life.
