Very much appreciated! After a few failures I watched your video and got the system bled and running on the first try!

refill it with injector cleaner as much as you can, then spray carb or brake cleaner in the air intake to restart the car, small sprays until it's running properly, then you don't have any time where you need to keep turning the engine over

Great video and a very tidy engine bay. Just out of curiosity though, what kind of battery cover is that? It looks very different to what I've normally seen on mondeos.

Hi there, thanks for the vid. I'm having to undertake this myself as I've discovered that my mechanic hasn't been bothering. The pump that you use, what is the diameter of the pipe that you connect there? I'll buy a pump as they're pretty cheap and seem useful. Also, is that just regular brake cleaner spray that you're using at the beginning and end of the video to clean/degrease with? Cheers, James (UK)

Regular brake cleaner is fantastic as it quickly evaporates. From memory about 6mm pipe. The end of mine is soft enough to stretch. Thanks for the questions

I tried to drain the fuel filter housing by loosening the 18mm drain plug. After about 30 minutes I checked to see if it had finished draining but it was still going, looked like about a gallon in the bucket. I decided to quit while I was ahead and just closed the valve. Is it normal for so much fuel to drain from the filter housing?

Guess you have to unplug the fuel pump fuse first

Hello. I have one Ford Mondeo mk4 2.0 tdci 140hp Peugeot diesel engine with automatic powershift. In park at 1.5 rpm I get vibrations. 2rpm and higher it is gone. also 1rpm then this is gone. What is this vibration? powershift gearbox or diesel delivery problems to the engine or diesel particulate filter. Has anyone come across this on this type of car and has experience?

My mondeo revs when idle and when you drive it’s like the turbo don’t work, is this because the EGR is dirty
