Find your reviews very real world and extremely helpful. Finally pulled the trigger and ordered a 5-GW set of 223’s. Have hit Mizuno MX-200’s for over 10 years, but finally wanted something newer. The feeling of a forged iron is a must, even when cast clubs are more forgiving. Great that you pointed out that forgiveness has been incorporated into the Mizuno Pro line. Now just the wait to get the irons, and this video helps with the wait.

I realize this is a very late response but I’ve played MX-200s since 2009 and will be replacing them this winter. What’s your handicap? Did you try the 225s? What May you decide on the 223s?
The production and editing alone deserves more then 54k subs. What a channel!
Great review, and your views are shared by many of us “average golfers” .. other channels have very skilled scratch players that don’t represent the 85% of casual recreational golfers. Thus making their views less meaningful as oppose to The Average Golfer. Thank you for your work and fantastic reviews!!!
Your head and shoulders above anyone on KZread and love your content . I game Mizuno jpx hot metal irons and wouldn’t swap them for anything else.
Brilliant intro Andy, these Mizuno's are things of beauty whether i could hit them remains to be seen through
Awesome start to vid & those Mizuno’s drop dead gorgeous looks 😍
Nice video intro. Mizuno blades are as pretty as they come. I went with a full set of the jpx900 a few years back and didn't get on to well with them. It probably wasn't the heads, but more the shafts that didn't work for me. I let the fitter put me in a graphite shaft not stiff enough. I did demo the 221, 223 and 225 recently and I'm sure, in the right shaft would be great for me but wanted to try something I'd never tried. Ended up buying the Titleist t100s. I liked the performance I got with them compared to all the others. Thanks for the review though!
I just got the T300's in 2020 but I would love to blend these. Would like to get P-9 in the 221s, 8-6 in the 223s and 5-4 in the 225s for optimum range, forgiveness, and efficiency. You could even adjust the loft in the shorter irons to accommodate the long or vice-versa.
Mizuno make lovely irons, loved the MP20 and preferred the look - to strike them pure is what golf is all about . . . you have to be in your game to do that consistently
Just ordered the 223s. It was a cointoss between them and the P770s, which in my opinion are close to the best looking irons out there. Great review btw.
Seriously the best KZread production going around - that intro was like being at a movie. Oh and the stars of the show were perfect - can’t wait for these to land in Australia 221’s for me
Bam! 💥 Looking great! I’d like to try the 223. But getting a good shaft fitting is paramount! Great camera work, quality video and special effects (distance in the green)! I like how team AG keeps improving, keep up the good work! 👍🏻
Fantastic intro and solid review. Thought I was sold on the Titleist T100S. Now, looks like Mizuno 225. Also, I could use the extra help in distance. Mizuno are the premier innovators in the golf equipment space. They just do it better.

if your looking at t100s and want mizuno than go 223 the 225 is a hackers club game improvement bigtime just fyi
Lots of new Mizuno reviews out yesterday, first one I go to- The Average Golfer! 👍🏻
Great Review...Thanks....Question: If you love these irons so much, why would you fly 10,000 to Arizona to get fitter for a set of PXG irons??????
Hey I just ordered a set of 225 from. 3 iron to 6 iron and 221 7-pitching wedge do you think that is the right choice to blend them?
Went in for a fitting today hoping to try the PXG 0211, but they didn’t have any for me to test. Ended up hitting the 223/225 really well. How do they compare to the PXG 0212 ? Which would you recommend ?
Have been excited for today when we get the chance to see reviews of Mizuno's new range of irons. Can't wait to make an appointment with my local fitter to try them out. Thanks for the always great content!
This is an interesting take on the 221’s. That we shouldn’t be scared of putting them in our bag. I like that.
The swing is looking good mate
Will you be getting custom fitted for these and if you do will you film it?
Would love to see a comparison of the HMB that I own& the new 225…small but better?
The golf stuff is great and all, but the opener to this video is like getting ready to watch a Hollywood Classic. Love the cinematic camera stuff before the actual golf stuff.
Best video on these yet
I just took few swing at my local golf pro shop.. I love the 225.. they are beautiful
Would you choose Mizuno 22x pro or PXG Gen 5?
This was a great review. A missed opportunity though…most reviewers are only given one iron to compare from each…but, you had the whole set…would have been nice to see you hit the correct club into the green for a comparison instead of comparing the three 9 irons…we already know the 221s will come in shorter for the same club number, but anyone who plays serious golf doesn’t play by the number, you play by the loft…so, would be nice to see you assess the lie and distance, and play the correct loft for each shot and see how they compare. Otherwise, awesome comparo. I am in complete agreement with you about the forgiveness among the three clubs. Forgiveness requirements are different among swingers. I have no trouble hitting the center of the club, but my challenge is trying to get a consistent swing due to having two hips replaced, arthritis in my back, and shoulder surgery…so, no matter what club I play, when my swing is off, it’s a big off, and no amount of forgiveness will fix it…so, I prefer to play blades for the feel…thanks!
Random question, what brand of golf bag is that in the intro? 👀
i purchased P790's about 2 years ago and there a beautiful set but im just not a huge fan of the hollow bodied feel so ive just purchased my 2nd set of Mizuno's 1st being the JPX 900's which i loved but the shafts ( kbs tour c-taper 6.0 ) were totally wrong for me ( too low trajectory ) and my newest set is the 223's with a proper kbs tour 6.0 mid flight i also purchased the T22 bronze wedges with the KBS Hi-Rev 2.0 Black PVD - Wedge as nothing truly feels like a Mizuno... CANT WAIT but unfortunately im going to have to as im guessing they wont be in until Octoberish
Well for me looking great doesn't help my game. Being a super senior I'm for which club works best on distance and forgiveness. I mean what really matters to me in golf other than the course itself and the people you're playing with is what I write down on the score card.
That intro was epic
Perfect vid, I’d just like to see tracer on ball flight.
Can’t see the 221 pushing the MP20 MB’s out of the bag. Interesting to see how 225 looks, smaller head, less offset, thinner topline and reduction in nuckle balls that came from HMB (switched from HMB to MB because of that)……would be enticing.
Way over the top vs pxg would be useful 200 per club crazy for people that actually pay for their equipment
I am still playing the mp5's 5-pw with an mp18 fli hi in the 4 iron. Very tempted in the 223 from 4-6 then 221 in 7-pw. They look dreamy!

Should go P-9 in the 221s, 8-6 in the 223s and 5-4 in the 225s for optimum range, forgiveness, and efficiency. You could even adjust the loft in the shorter irons to accommodate the long or vice-versa.

As soon as I see a new Mizuno blade I just go WOW and want to hit them. Memories of yesterday come flooding back. Pure class.
Love the look of these. They do look like they would blend nicely. Looking forward to the individual reviews.
They look absolutely amazing, what’s not to love about these irons ❤️
loved my HMBs, but just ordered some 225s, can't wait to get them!

@@BuffaloBarber24 I’ve got Nippon Pro 850 shafts. The 225s feel softer and I get a bit more distance than the HMBs
Very nice Andy. Like you mention perfect for a blended set 221 and 225s. Like to see the blend from 225 6 iron to 221 7 iron.
so which Mizuno iron would you recommend for a senior golf looking for forgiveness ... cheers from Canada
Are these irons alot better than the 0211 blades?
My Mizuno MP 20 HMB were going too high. I changed the lofts to exactly what the new 225’s are and the flight is still high but not too high. The slightly larger more forgiving head doesn’t bother me. I won’t be traded them...for years...
Hey, I play of 7 and I'm actually preferring the look of the 225 personally. Think that's the way I'll go
Topnotch video its like a commercial nicely done ,mizuno put the bar soo high nobody even come close!!
Good to see you evaluating clubs again
Andy. I have the HMB’s in the bag and love them. I was going to blend but ended up with a full set 4-PW and I would not change a thing. Interesting to see how the 225’s compare to them though?

Same here....but I am tempted by the 225. Slightly more compact than current HMB.
Have seen the 225s online at £185 a club , would be good to see a direct comparison vid to the hmb’s are the 3 clubs different lofts in the same irons ?
Why do you think Mizuno doesn’t make all their MPs look similar so that a blended set doesn’t look so different? If they can disguise all the tech in the 225 to make it look like the 221, why don’t they do it with the 223 (and the predecessors back to the MP60). I had a blended set of MP69s and MP59s and never really liked the look of the MP59s…same with the 223s. They look more like they belong to the JPX line than the MP line…
Great review again 😀 Could you please review the new Adams Tightlies fairway 5 wood? Would love to see your opinion.
Mizuno always look amazing and these are a notch above the rest in my opinion can't wait to try them 👍
Most golfers in the mid to high handicappers need performance, this seems to be the new niche market. Would love to think that mizuno is finally challenging this area. If they can now add performance the legendary feel and how these gorgeous irons look . They will definitely be on to a winner. Geoff
Very pretty golf course. I have never felt like there was as big a difference between irons as companies would have us believe. That being said I do think you do have to be more consistent with blades. I have really been taken by this new line from Mizuno I think I will have to start testing them this winter. I would like to know how they compare to the new T series from Titleist l was thinking about a T100s/T200 set but now there is some competition.
It's Mizuno MP 225 for me, but, the 223 is intriguing. Great idea blending the different sets to fill the bag.
Nothing will kick my Titleist t200s out of the bag. Playing the best golf of my life and at 52 yrs young I've tried previous mizuno irons and just don't seem to get the best numbers from them compared to the Tmade and Titleist gear
Ur absolutely right when I make the best irons in the world u can ask whatever u want for em. And they even 5 or 6 years later still hold there value really well love Mizuno
Good review BUT do the new irons have the standard Mizuno/Japanese lie which is flatter than US brands, because that is a factor to take into consideration when getting fit - yer i know a good fitter will pick up on that, just a heads up for the playa's. Way too expensive for me , they do have to show a return for shareholders after the R&D and production changes.
Minuscule improvement over mp20 no doubt preferred mp20 looks
Mizuno are great looking, feeling irons. I’ve bought them before but I find they’re always slightly shorter than their competitors. It’s their forging process that they hype so much. Meh.
I love the way you set up your videos, very thoughtful production! However, please consider re-evaluating your audio mixing principles. Levels are jumpy between shots, and there’s so much compression on your lav mic that the jacket noises when you take a shot are very unpleasantly in your face. Just do some automation and listen back on speakers, you’ll notice right away. Kind regards from an audio engineer…who loves golf 😅
beautiful irons... only to beat eat other to death in the bag...that rattle you hear on every cart, is damage being done to the clubs. The sound is cool, as long as it is not my bag...

I would rather see the sexy club head. My iron covers have been made redundant.
Sweet
Love the looks of them all, but way too expensive.
225 is 🔥👍🏼🔥
Like Mizuno forged and have owned them previously but cannot justify the new pricing with other very good, great feeling options out there at a lower price.
what shoes are you wearing?
I wonder why it seems everyone but Ping has to have a new model come out each year. These new irons look great though I’ve never tried any Mizuno iron. Just got fitted for a set of 0211s which I like so won’t be trying them any time soon.
If the 'forgiveness' is relatively the same, I cannot see why you would not go past the 221. Looks and feel, nothing comes close.
The purpose of golf is to play the clubs that are best for you. If you are playing clubs you like and play well what is the purpose of change? If you are not playing well with your set than you need to get fitted with the best clubs for you, why waste the time trying clubs you think you like but they don't perform. So go to a fitter and try different clubs before you make a purchase. those clubs look great but are they for everyone!
225s 😎👌🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Glad to hear that there are others out there that get no more forgiveness out of so called more forgiving clubs. I bought my first blades as a beginner. Then got fitted for cavity backs. Sold these after three months as my game with them was worse.
Nothing will top the MP4
I have seen other reviews of these iron, and they didn't hit them as well as they did the Srixons ZX7's. So why spend twice as much money on clubs because they look better? And they do look good. Do they feel better? I doubt it is much if it all. Mine are buttery smooth. I am not looking for a club that feels better. Mine feel awesome. Are they more forgiving? Mine are very forgiving for solid forged CB's. From what I have seen, none of these are. 2k for irons is ridiculous. If they lowered their prices they would make more profit because they would sell a shitload more of them. I have a feeling when the honeymoon is over a lot of people are going to be feeling some buyers' remorse. Only time will tell. Look forward to more reviews as people start getting rounds in with full sets.
Can’t really blend those irons without a lot of bending. Then your messing with the offset and bounce on them.
Performance secondary to looks? That’s more than a little ridiculous.
A Mizuno Tech/Design meeting must start like this: "Ok guys, build the best irons in the history of golf, year after year, or you're all fired." And they do. Mizuno is unmatched. Sorry PXG, and all the rest. You just can't hang.
While I love the channel and the content, it's likely that changing your clubs every year rather than fixing your swing is holding your game back from improving as quickly as it should.
Don't care for the added "pro" after the signature, but good looking irons. Looks before performance? Sounds like a high handicapper mentality
None. No lefty love except the one set. I don't even look at Mizuno anymore.
cracking looking irons golfing Jewellery
