I was browsing shoes for bandminton and held this out of curiosity. This is as light as sprinters shoes. I was puzzled, considering how tugged the shoe is.

I bought z6 and still in good shape..light weight shoe

can use for basketball?

To be honest, i moved from Lighting Z to Z7 (7 generation later) and dont feel any difference at all. Just a new shoes,

I’m still having doubts choosing between the Wave Lightning Z7 Mid or the Wave Momentum 2 (Mid). I do play as setter most of the time (80%) but I can also play outside or diagonal attack. I do prefer shoes with good ankle joint support and I’m wearing quite thick ankle braces. I’m afraid the Wave Momentum 2 will be to small to get in because of the sock. When I was tounger I always wore Asics but the last 6 years I always wore the latest Mizuno Lightning version. It’s not that I’ m unhappy with the Lightning model but I’m getting a bit older now and slower so now I prefer to have stability because of my weaker ankles. Can you help me with my choice?

After fitting both of them I choose the Lightning Z7. With my ankle braces the Momentum felt to narrow. Still happy with the Lightning after 1 season playing.

Just my take but the lightings and momentum’s have different shoe profiles after trying both of them on in the store. Momentum’s feel longer more toe space and narrow on the sides. More suitable for curved feet. While the lightings feels better on short, straight wide feet. Fitting your foot profile should also take a priority.

I'm a setter too. Injured my left ankle wearing momentum 2. Was off for 3 months and I'm wearing an ankle brace everytime I play now with the Momentum 2. It's actually a narrow shoe so the brace velcro is ripping the lining like a rat chew on the shoe. Will be shifting to the Lightning as I've previously used the z3 and z4.

I need a shoe that won't make me slip, I slip all the time! (The shoes I use is Gel-rocket 10)

It might just be the courts, I have the gel rocket 10’s as well and on a clean court it will feel like it sticks to the ground and doesn’t move but on a dustier court I will slip a lot

can we use z7 for playing badminton ???
