Take a break from the world, from society, from social media, from everything external
It's time to reflect on your life, your goals, your relationships and many other things.
Embrace loneliness and stop rejecting it, it's exactly what you need in your life the most !
In order to be present and have moments of peace and tranquility, you have to get into a clear state of mind, a state in which thoughts remain thoughts and you are one with the things around you.
I included nature sounds and a slow melody so I can create the environment for you to get into that state of deep contemplation.

28 years old. Siblings dead. Father dead. Mother is a stranger I've seen twice in 15 years. Friends won't stop drinking and staying children so I cut them out. I live in the desert in a barn. I found myself again, today, laying down to sleep with absolutely no one to talk to, with very little left in my heart to say. Eight billion people and not one for me to love, or who'll love me. It's a pain that, despite this comment's attempt, is incommunicable.

Original credit to the author from above, just a complement 1. Accept everything just the way it is: Acceptance allows for inner peace and avoids unnecessary resistance and suffering in the face of inevitable change. 2. Do not seek pleasure for its own sake: Pursuing pleasure without discernment can lead to attachment, dependency, and a loss of clarity, hindering true fulfillment and spiritual growth. 3. Do not, under any circumstances, depend on a partial feeling: Relying on partial feelings can cloud judgment and lead to biases and misconceptions, hindering a clear understanding of the truth. 4. Think lightly of yourself and deeply of the world: Humbling oneself and expanding focus beyond personal ego allows for a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of all things, fostering compassion and empathy. 5. Be detached from desire your whole life long: Detachment from desires liberates one from the bondage of craving, allowing for freedom, contentment, and living in the present moment rather than being driven by insatiable desires. 6. Do not regret what you have done: Regretting past actions burdens the present and hinders personal growth, while reflection and learning from experiences lead to wisdom and better choices. 7. Never be jealous: Jealousy stems from a mindset of lack and comparison, causing turmoil and unhappiness, while cultivating contentment and celebrating others' success brings inner peace. 8. Never let yourself be saddened by a separation: Clinging to attachments causes suffering, but embracing impermanence and cherishing memories and lessons gained allows for strength and adaptability. 9. Resentment and complaint are appropriate neither for oneself nor others: Dwelling in resentment and complaint drains energy and fosters negativity, while letting go and practicing forgiveness cultivate inner peace and harmonious relationships. 10. Do not let yourself be guided by the feeling of lust or love: Allowing oneself to be solely driven by lust or passionate love can cloud judgment, while emotional balance and discernment lead to deeper and more meaningful connections. 11. In all things have no preferences: Preferences create attachments and biases, causing suffering when expectations are not met, while embracing equanimity and acceptance brings tranquility and harmony. 12. Be indifferent to where you live: Attachment to a specific place limits flexibility and impedes growth, while cultivating indifference allows for adaptability and embracing new environments. 13. Do not pursue the taste of good food: Chasing sensory pleasures leads to attachment and distraction, while practicing moderation and simplicity brings contentment beyond transient gratification. 14. Do not hold on to possessions you no longer need: Clinging to unnecessary possessions burdens the mind and limits freedom, while letting go creates space for new experiences and a lighter existence. 15. Do not act following customary beliefs: Blindly adhering to societal norms restricts personal growth and critical thinking, while questioning conventions opens up new possibilities and expands horizons. 16. Do not collect weapons or practice with weapons beyond what is useful: Excessive focus on weapons leads to aggression and violence, while prioritizing practicality cultivates a balanced approach and skillful use. 17. Do not fear death: Fear of death hinders living fully and embracing life's challenges, while accepting the inevitability of death brings courage and the ability to live authentically in each moment. 18. Do not seek to possess either goods or fiefs for your old age: Pursuing material possessions and power for old age creates attachment and suffering, while focusing on inner richness and spiritual growth brings freedom and fulfillment. 19. Respect Buddha and the gods without counting on their help: Respecting spiritual figures acknowledges their wisdom, but relying solely on external help fosters passivity, while cultivating self-reliance and strength allows for personal growth and actions aligned with truth. 20. You may abandon your own body but you must preserve your honour: Physical existence is transient, but preserving honor and integrity transcends the limitations of the body, bringing self-respect and moral strength. 21. Never stray from the Way: The Way is the guiding principle for a meaningful and authentic life, and staying committed to it brings purpose, clarity, and inner fulfillment.

Hard times are there to make you hard. They are there to make you think about life. They are there to give you pain. Pain is the only feeling to make yourself understand things. Pain is a blessing. Pain is not a punishment. Without trouble you will not make decisions. Either you won’t see happiness. How will you be hungry if you eat all the time ? Everything you feel is a feeling. Everything you sense is an emotion. This is a journey. God is waiting for you at the End.

From time to time, we go there. What got me out of the dark futility was my ability to love; not just people but everything around me. If you have people that love you, then it would seem reasonable to share your pain with them. You may not agree with me, but I found sincere prayer to be a monumental help for me. You also need to fight the darkness with uplifting goals. Simple but noteworthy goals like helping people or animals in distress, cleaning a street near you or mowing a lawn for someone who simply can't do it. Making people and God's creatures happy and more comfortable in this godless world would brighten anyone's day.

I struggled in school, gave up studying.. But I stil have the passion of learning. I'm just tired of the society as a whole. Nothing make me want to be in a world that prefer to destroy itself rather than being all together and do our best.. So I took few years of my precious time, and read books on my own. Learned psychology, theories, disciplines, secrets of the world we live in. And I feel like it was meant to be that way for me. I am grateful to be alive, to have good health.. But I think that school system is dead within itself. I doubt I would be here if I didn't left.. I kinda fear the future of those who follow the system, like. Damn.. I really dodged a bullet. I plan to do humanitary deeds and travel soon. My life is my own.

The other day I went out into the mountains without any electronics( with the exception of my car and an emergency flashlight) I cooked a big pot of stew and just sat by the campfire all night eating, lifting weights, boxing, and playing guitar. It was cold and dark and the coyotes kept howling. But it felt like home.

My partner and I are long distance now. I tell my partner and other people that ask that the distance makes me stronger, more independent. But some mornings I get so homesick, laying in my own bed. I’m afraid to go outside because if I catch a glimpse of the horizon I will be reminded of how far they are. My partner honestly seems so much happier where they live now. I’m glad they are but i’m still here mourning the life we used to have here in our hometown. You still can be like the stoic figures of our past. Continue to practice the gratitude for your relationship but live in your present. Not their present. Find yourself in this time you’ve been given and hold onto the impermanence of your time apart. Grow stronger and better for yourself and bring that strength to your relationship when the two of you come back together to grow mutually. But you must take this time to grow individually.

Bro, I saw myself on your comment. I lived a long distance relationship last year with a person that made me feel like the shinest star in the sky. After she moved, I remember feeling like a part of me was gone and I started counting the days til I can see her with my own eyes again. I remember being full of hope that we can make through distance, even with the feeling that we are no longer bounded. When we are together in the distance, I waked up every morning thinking of her and fall asleep in the night remembering of her. I done my best for her, what I believed It was the best, but it wasn't. I can't handle the distance, that she no longer belongs to this place and would not return. When we broke up, I feel desolated, cause I know that she was the one, but at same time, I felt relief for her being free to walk her own way. On these days, I don't remember of her very often, cause to me her face is shadowing, but I still grateful for all the things that we lived, and I'm trying my best to become a person that she would proud of, cause even with we are no longer in touch, I still thinking of her when I'm doing my things. I don't know if you still with the person that you spoke on your comment, if yes, keep going, you need to undestand that this time, at distance, is to grow on your own, because It was a bad thing to stay at the same when the other person are evolving, aren't? And If not, use this experience to become what you want to became, at the end of the day, we are by our own.

@@EdwardKenway130 Hey bro, I would say that journaling as a whole really helped improve my mindset over time. There is a calming nature of sitting down for around thirty minutes and physically writing in a journal. I have since fallen out of the practice however and mostly write sporadically whenever I feel a great well of emotion or thought that needs to be thought out and put into perspective. In my opinion the best way to get started into journaling as a whole is to do it every day for around thirty minutes. Write down whatever comes to your mind no matter what it is write it down. Let yourself get into that rhythm of daily reflection. It calms the mind and allows retrospective thinking on topics that you can't put into perspective in the moment. Hope this helped a little, if you have any questions just reply again and I will try to get back to you in a timely manner with clear and concise points.

@@ParisKubal-ll3or Hey man, yeah I can give you some examples. Basically what is taught by Epictetus, one of the greatest stoicism teachers, is to take a inventory of your day. So at the end of the day go and write down what you did, what you could have done and rebuke yourself for not getting done what you could have done. I use a larger leather bound journal for this but any journal will do. Also write down thoughts and feelings that you may have left unprocessed throughout the day that are negative or positive. Dig deep and find things that you may not want to address. This is what I use my pocket notebook for during midday. For example you could write something like "Today I woke up at eight-thirty this morning, I did laundry, did the dishes, and mopped the floors. If I had woken up earlier I could have gone to the gym and maybe if I didn't play those video games for three hours I could have worked on my business that I've been meaning to start." But that's about it if you would like more examples or help let me know.

The artwork and the music combined really bring a sense of peace. The image of the man sitting alone by a fire in nature with nothing but his own self as company is something I relate too strongly, and I feel as though this is life. We are always alone even when we are with people the only person we keep company with is ourselves and God and there is a serenity in that. Embracing, that is a source of true strength and peace.

23 years old. Forced to leave school because of bully, victim of sexual abuse too in my youth. Im forced now to work on a shitty job with a shameful salary for the rest of my life. I tried so hard to be the kindest man, in everything. Professionally, with « friends » and indeed with love. All of my attempts were vain. I feel so lonely. Billions on people around the world and not a single soul to discuss with. I feel so empty and hopeless. No matter how hard I tried (and trust me, I did) i was never happy. Im listening to this playlist, remembering my past while my eyes are closed. I have no more motivation for anything. I gave my soul, I gave my heart, I have no regrets. One day, I will have the courage to put an end to my endless pain.

I understand that. You must know that even the people who are the most good and the kindest, will face way more challenges than the average person. It is very easy to be tainted away from being good. Evil is very easy. With evil I don't mean only hurting others, I also mean hurting yourself. We constantly get self destructive thoughts, saying that certain stuff is pointless or meaningless. These thoughts come from ourself and it is our choice to let them consume us. When we are consumed by them, we choose to give up. However, the strong will not let these thoughts get to them. My request to you, please keep going. It doesn't matter how much you've suffered, you have to keep going no matter what. Giving up is the easy way out. I know that it's hard but there lies alot of value and strength in going against the tides of the evil nature of yourself, and this world.

I look behind me and see the trail of footprints in my wake, but as turn my gaze back forward, the abyss is no more illuminated than when I took my first step. I carry that which I’ve gained like tokens of accomplishment. But despite everything I have, I do not, nor have I seemingly ever lived in congruity with who I *am*. I can feel my weary soul sigh every day, begging for elation. Ultimately I deny this request, and continue to stave the embers within, or attempt to replace the fire of my soul for another.

Take care when your brother asks you for bread you give him not stones. Remember, you might not be able to change or control the people around you, but you can determine the level of consciousness on which you meet them and react to them. Your mind is a garden. Your thoughts are the seeds. The harvest can be...either flowers or weeds. Following the spiritual path is made easier by following an experienced traveler.
