@philpalmer4877 FWIW y’all, Jackie Chan played a different character in the same universe. There is a sequel in production where Chan’s character meets up with Machio’s Daniel-san.

One of my favourite ever movie scenes. Julie kicking ass, and Miyagi kicking butt.

Believe it or not, the actor who played Ned was in his mid 40s when this movie was made, yes he was the same age as Michael Ironside!

Man, the karate kid movie series taught me so much growing up

This was still a good movie. I don't care. It's just on a different perspective from the first three that people didn't get at the time. Yeah, it coulda been better, but for what it's worth, it did a good job.

i remember the days when this movie had bad reviews and i still don't understand why.

The soundtrack is amazing!

@@KDawg92801 Exactly what I said. She kicks up in the air, grabbs her leg, then lets go. Not only would it generate almoat no striking force, it would be trivially eaay to either dodge, or kick her other leg out. Even by Karate Kid low standards, the fight choreography is attrocious.

The next karate kid was not that bad of a movie, nothing close to the original 3, but it wasn't a bad movie, I still find it more watchable than the 2010 reboot, if julie pierce were to appear in cobra kai season 6, what part would she play?

Ip Man came out long after Next Karate Kid, dummy. Even then, I prefer this. Real fights are fast and over with. The fights in Ip Man are unrealistic, exaggerated and overly choreographed.

Only one karate kid rest of these are corn

Other than the crap writing, directing, and acting, that was a decent clip.

This movie is not good as compared to other 3 movies.

No wonder Boyd Crowder dug coal and broke bad after this crap movie.
