I have 3 “metal” plugins CLA Vocals, IK Multimedia Joe Chiccarelli’s vocal plugin and JST Howard Benson vocal plugin and I’m curious as this 1 compares to those and I sing R&B, bro

@@PharaohLawLess1 You and I stay in these VST home recording DIY KZread streets for a FEW YEARS now. I know WhoTF UR. LoL You have a hell of a voice. You don't even remember me, do ya? PS: Like Metal music, the focus is to have the vocals UPFRONT and in your face but clear as possible as yelling screaming Metal vocals sound distorted and inaudible. So this Gamma plugin gets the vocals good like that in your ear without overpowering the mix....and without the mix overpowering the vocals. They jive well with one another. XVox Pro, Waves Greg Wells VoiceCentric, and this Gamma plugin are the jumpoffs here for pro vocals in the computer box.

Thanks mate! It is a great plugin, nice to have everything in one location for quick dialing in and not scrolling through a huge list of plugins trying to decide what to use next haha. I’ve been really busy these last few weeks with mixes and sessions, but got some more mixing vids I’m working on!

🤷🏻‍♂️ just happened to be a song I was working on at the time. Listen to the radio and you will hear swearing round the clock… it’s not the end of the world. I myself don’t swear in songs, but I’m not phased by it.

@@spinlightstudios if people want to listen to songs with swearing that’s their choice. I came here to discover the plugins and not the song with F words. I would advise you to check the song beforehand as you know kids have access to these staff they want to learning about the product that you don’t even own. Hope you are taking my feedback in a positive way✌️

I doubt this plugin can replace my parallel compressions from several compressors on vocals, which make the vocals very close and readable. And this plugin only gets the effect of regular compression. Here either the vocal is not reaching the "close" sound or just overcompressed by the compressor.

I am used to using an 1176 and LA2A in my chain with the LA2A at the end. Do you miss having the compressor options or the ability to stack compressors?

The compressor chains are actually multiple compressors stacked for both soft and hard! The soft is a more subtle compressor setup, whereas hard features 3 compressors running back to back to create the one sound! The GR is a summed ratio of all of them

I didn’t find it a problem, but you can always do the trial and see if your system handles it.

Does this work with Reaper?

I just checked the Gamma page and reaper is listed in compatible DAWs 👌🏻 it has a free trial period too if you want to test it and make sure it does work in your daw.
