@@shrimpmaniadaily the problem is I keep pure lines and don't really have a cull tank. When I do get culls, I gift them to friends and family members For my few friends that do it, they have tanks everywhere and have lots of culls :( but never say never, might try one day soon. Keep up the great videos and can't wait till the next one!!

I know in growing that coconut husk binds calcium. I always add a small shell to dissolve some calcium into the water thinking it might help but not sure?

21:24 that's an awesome metallic purple shrimp, look how well it contrasts to the red shrimp. I'd love to have a stable colony of these!

I actually plan to mix red rilis and blue sapphire neos once both get babies, the blues are still too small though, but the rilis have been berried for 2 weeks now. I can only imagine the fun with caridinas for now... Good luck! :)

I've heard, doesn't hurt to try though, I think, I'm just starting out, so experiments won't hurt. I'll love them all the same... :) (I have the tanks to see them through, btw, just so no one thinks I'm culling inhumanely, they'll still get their homes!)

Short mania maybe you can answer this question or someone that's watching this video can tell me is it okay to put fluval stratum in a undergravel filter box. I'm trying my first attempt at using filter boxes and want to get started on the right track and that put something in the box that can't be used. I've heard of people saying it dissolves easily that's what my concern is will it disintegrate in the box? By the way I love those coconut arches I am going to go buy some coconuts and get my hack saw out and make me some of those arches 🤪😀

My comments! Mixing isn't fun for me. It becomes a nightmare. When we do that, we got unstable shrimps, with mutilple genes, and if you want to achieve nice ones, you have to select and select to arrive to something. And there will be so many patterns, that finally, it will take many, many tanks if you want to achieve all the patterns you see. So... a nightmare in my point of view. This is nothing like having shrimps with good genetic, so when you crossbreeed, you have more chances that it will be stable, and it will not take 10 yerars to arrive to something. A culling tank is fun to see... but... you have to decide what you want to do with the shrimp later... and... so, no I don't think this is a good idea, if you're serious about shrimp breeding.
