I have a Mackie FX12 pro that only has the High, Mid and low. Would I do that with the equalizer?

What if the mixer has the Hi Hi-Mid Low Mid Low Knobs how do you eliminate feedback with 😭💔?

So I'm new to the mixing world. I have to run sound for my church and we have x32 Yamaha board that's only analog. Aside from just turning each knob until I eliminate the feedback is there any other way to quickly guess what I need to do when I get feedback? I've killed the high ends but now my Rector sounds tinny. Any suggestions?

Finally I found a tutorial on controlling the mid EQ. It looks like he's using a Soundcraft Signature mixer.

Duh....I just googled mixers with parametric EQ and on Sweetwater it showed devices costing thousands of dollars! :) Interestingly, on my Bose S1 Pro, when I turn the bass way up, the feedback gets a lot worse.

At 2:36, it already says on the mixer which frequencies the high and low knobs are fixed at. 🙂

May be useful to point out that it depends entirely on the “source” that’s providing feedback before seeking to eliminate it. Knifing your 4K might work great for a single vocal mic (comedy show, speech, etc) but if you’re also running background music simultaneously you’re cutting out a critical portion of audible frequency; given the general rule that human hearing is fine tuned for Hz between 2-6K. Otherwise solid video that gets to the point.

yeah, but he's talking about the single channel, not the overall main output so that background music would not be affected by this mic adjustment in this single channel.

Sir, human ear can not hear 4Hz so this frequency can not cause feedback at all, like wise you can not hear 600 kHz either. Do you mean 600Hz and 4kHz ?

Lol he meant 4khz, you can see that from the position of the knob the time he was talking.

    @@leelee3701 , I thought it'll be more cool if he said 4MHz.
