    I really enjoy your video's. You keep things real. Fishing can sometimes test you as a person. I live near Blackpool and look forward to watching your next video. Blanking is all part of fishing. I hope you and your boyfriend have a great time up north. I've recently been targeting Barbell on a northern river. I have blanked loads. Been fishing for Barbell on this particular river around three years I have managed to catch two Barbell in around 100 sessions. If angling is your passion then you will keep on going. Take good care stay safe and have a lovely holiday

    Try drilling the bait out and put a bit of cork in the bottom of the bait, carp don't see or smell it, they just smell your hookbait. I mostly make my bottombaits into wafters that way. 🎣🤗🎣

    Confidence is key for sure! But also more importantly is location and for that you need water craft! Locating the Fish. If you're not on fish it doesn't matter what you do, you will blank. Forget about swim choice when you go fishing, go with the view of I'll fish where the fish are! I did a session with Simon Crow back in March, he said you have to get used to blanking as its part of fishing, everybody blanks full stop. Aim to try and learn something at every session about the lake and eventually you'll figure the lake out! Tight lines.. also don't forget the margins! I went on holiday in the Cotswolds last week, 3 sessions, 9 fish! All from the margins! 🙃

    On new lakes every trip blank or not ur learning more each session , on small lakes like that i find fishing back leads or super slack lines work well . My favourite rig is fishing a IQ D rig white wafter and a foam nugget then catapult a handful of boilies and halves at ur foam as it pops up

    It's nice to see someone posting sessions as they happen rather than just the successful ones. I'm one of those odd people that enjoy a fishing trip regardless of whether I catch or not so it's nice to see someone who has your enthusiasm even when the luck isn't with them. Keep posting, I love your attitude :)

    When you check your rigs to see how you’re presented you should try doing it in a bucket with a clear side (fox do one 😉). And make sure the whole rig is laid flat to make sure your bait is flat or wafting of popped up exactly how you want it. Good luck on your next session!

    It's a good idea at this point to have a session somewhere where you are pretty much guaranteed a bend in the rods. Does wonders for your confidence. We've all had those sessions where even a liner would lift your spirits! To your credit, the fact that you can still still create a fantastically watchable video from a blank session is very impressive 😊

Ended up sitting in rain like your self it even brought lightening top videos 💪. Fishing the past couple of months has been strange! Don’t beat your self up I start doing that and then thought at least I got a good night sleep. I use fishing to keep my depression at bay and when I don’t catch yeah it’s sets it off. But there is always next time don’t worry you will catch 👍

    Lol bless ya, create a fishing list of the gear you want to take to a session and any time you discover you've forgot something, add it to the list. In time you'll not forget a thing when gearing up for a session :) I don't trust my catty skills anymore at a distance. PVA mesh all the way for me when it gets too far lol if it's short distance I'll use the catapult Also my advice is to research the waters you mostly fish. Find out what foods they respond to best, my local pond will see you 20lb carp if you throw in a pellet or pellet paste on the hook but chuck in a boilie and it's warning siren to them, may trip up young tench and bream but the big ones steer clear. Carp are smart, they tend to hang back and watch the littler fish check for danger before coming in, I add 2 and 4mm pellets to my freebies of boilies to create this false safety when the small ones are actually just feeding on the small pellets that have no danger haha a carp comes in and starts taking in boilies and pellets and eventually my hook lol stay positive and mix up styles, rigs, baits and always research.. that's my advise/2 cents worth :)

    Before you even start fishing spend half hour leading around and try find some features/hard spots and when you cast keep the rod up and feel the lead down and that will give you an idea of what your fishing over, and then stick to those spots once you found somewhere and have a bit of bait out and leave the rods out a little longer. Also try fishing with a longer hook link 8-10inches all the best 🙌

  • @peternufc1981

    @peternufc1981

    I’ve been fishing for years and never done much leading around. Now I’m going to do it because there’s no point in casting just any where because of the fact of weed and the bait being totally hidden and as for pva bags being able to cast over most bottoms I disagree it will be lost in deep thick weed. Definitely going up lead a round

  • @seaan1609

    @seaan1609

    11 ай бұрын

    @@peternufc1981 awesome, yes it will increase your catch rate for sure. Fishing over a nice clear bottom so you know you are presented. If you are using solid bags it’s a little different as 9/10 the rig is fishing due to the presentation of it, even if it’s fished in patches of weed/silt carp will definitely feed through the silt and eventually find your pile of bait from the solid bag. But a normal rig I would definitely be finding a nice clear spot 👍

    Good video still despite the blank. I've been catching really well with maggots lately, thought I'd try them because the big carp are so used to boilies/wafters/pop ups. I bought the Korda maggot clip, put 15-20 maggots on the clip so good bunch. The silvers can be a problem but if it's a specimen lake there shouldn't be any or very few, the one I'm fishing now has 3 pike in and some big Perch to cut down the numbers of silvers and carp fry. I've been pestered by them at times but mostly it's fine and I'm definitely catching more. Red maggots are the best as they imitate the bloodworm which are a natural food source for the fish in the lake and they occur there naturally. A few weeks ago I caught 7 and lost 2 fishing maggots during a single night session, something for you to consider especially as your confidence has as you said took a knock from the recent blanks. Tight lines for your next sessions 👍

    hi there ukfisherwomen. first your vidoes are great and second.if you saw a hornet that big you should of caught it and put it in glass jar as there Asian hornet: UK sightings and they are killers if you see one that big The Asian hornet poses a significant threat to the UK’s wildlife and the RSPB urges the public to report any sightings to the relevant authorities.The concern around the Asian hornet is that it is a significant predator of bees. In France, it has consumed large numbers of bees, including the well-known European honey bee and many lesser-known solitary and colonial bee species. Nature conservation organisations, including the RSPB, are concerned about the impacts of Asian hornets on bees, as these pollinating species are an essential component of well-functioning ecosystems. there is more info and picture on the net

    Enjoying your vlogs, been following a little while. The last year and a half I've been in my first syndicate and since then I've taken carping more seriously. Something that's really helped my catch rate is not just casting to spots that look good, but casting a lead about and feeling the bottom of the lake all round in the swim im fishing in, finding the harder gravelly areas and just areas clear of weed etc. Fills me with so much confidence and I've gone from rarely catching to almost every session having at least 1 fish. I'd highly recommend using a third rod/ spod rod with a reel full of braid and have a cast about. Keep up the great vlogs!!

    Next time u check your rig in the margin let it sink further down, it looked way to buoyant to me looks like it would be a low lying zig. Also try using distance sticks and clip up it kicks your rig out a bit. On small waters I wouldn’t fish that right line either let your tubing sink down on the bottom Keep up the good work 👍

    When i don't catch anything - which is many times this year - I get more determined. At least you dont get bitten by midges like I do.

    don't do too much if you catch fish or not, it's relaxing, then it can be cozy to sit in the tent when it rains.

    I wouldn't worry about recasting to be honest It's one of the things that really made a difference to my fishing over the years And found a lot of the time the rod that would scream off was the rod that I recast last

    Great video, if your fishing two rods maybe try your usual bait on one and something different on the other like meat or corn on the other, I'm always chopping and changing especially on waters you don't know
