Vicki, I look forward to watching all your videos. I love the mini journals as it is something I know I could find time for. I work and then look after my grandchildren in the evenings so my daughter can go to work. We are raising 2 boys with autism and my little granddaughter is almost 6 and has ADHD so needs to be kept busy and they also love watching your videos and my granddaughter wants to start trying to art journal. She is very creative and loves to paint and craft. You are her inspration! Thank you for that!! Enjoy your summer. I am looking forward to mine so I have time to do my art journalling as I have less time during the school year. I am hoping to retire soon so then I will have lots of time for it.

Another amazing project! I love your videos very much. In general, I do like longer videos better than the shorts. In fact, I skip shorts all together. When I sit down to watch KZread, it is my “me” time and I like to get engaged in something that not only inspires me, but that grabs my attention for a while, 15mins, 30 mins, 1hr. I think life is already passing by way too fast, texts are short, we are expected to react to things fast, work is so busy, everything demands us to be “go go go”, we are expected to consume more content (emails, social media, adds, announcements, etc) and faster than ever before. That is why when I watch videos I want it to be relaxing and not just a few seconds and booom, onto another one and another and another. Of course, this is my personal opinion and how I like to watch crafty videos. I know, there are a lot of people who just want to see shorts. I do love your videos and got hooked to your channel because of the longer videos and the Mixed Media Tuesdays, remember?! If a channel is made of majority or only shorts, I would not be engaged and would not follow. This is not a critique, once again, just the way I prefer to look for inspiration. Absolutely gorgeous as always.. Love watching you create. You are amazing with the way you add all the little finishing touches and it is a masterpiece again.

Some great techniques in this video Vicki. When you pushed back the first layer then removed it in sections I was surprised but then when you got out the blue paint I was shocked 😮 but the final background with all that and the stencilling is just perfect with glimpses of the paper underneath. Love this project and I’ll have to try those new techniques. Thanks for sharing your precious time with us😊❤

Hi, Vicky! Lovely canvas with all your signature techniques- I’m a fan of the 8”x8” size - not too big, not too small… but just right! Kind of like Goldilocks LOL I also love your mini journals - the perfect size to not be too intimidating yet can hold a variety of coordinating items. That’s the size I use to create a layout for each Stamperia collection (idea from your videos of course) although I have a few collections that need to get added to my 2nd journal. Thanks for sharing how one can use their mini art journals for inspiration for canvas artwork. I like the way the steps you've used in art journaling ad transfer it to canvas. You demonstrate how these basic steps are multipurpose. I've never worked with rice paper so will be a challenging adventure. I'm a huge fan of Autumn, so I'm looking forward to using some of the techniques I'm learning into Fall themed projects. Thanks for your wonderful videos.

Love the board, beautiful and inspirational as always. I have this board from my previous painting with oil and acrylics, so I can hear it calling for me. The thing that would not do is to apply baby blue paint over that lovely blue flowers in the background. It would look lovely in the end, behind the Girl's back. BY THE WAY, would you like to give that Girl a name? She is a centerpiece of your lovely collection, after all. Think about it.😘

Anyway, I've learned so many things from you. I can't thank you enough. I was able to use many of your methods & tips on my latest scrapbook project - a 60 page 12x12 album for my mother's 90th birthday. It turned out great. She loves it! Can I use Ranger's Gel Medium or Mod Podge matte instead of rice paper glue temporarily to seal the rice paper? I wasn't aware there's a special adhesive for the rice paper when I bought them from Stamperia and regular glue, gel medium, or mod podge is the only thing I have currently.

sure! go with gel medium. It works, I have tried it. I don't know about mod podge cause I don't have it.

Just water, but I keep a jar with water next to me so I deep them in. I never let the glue dry on the. The glues I use dilute with water super easily when wet.
