    Dear All, There is confusion regarding the water-cement ratio. So kindly follow the below steps The water-cement ratio is 0.45 only pls check step no.2. So we need to add 0.01 one time in step no.5. It was an error in step no.5, (0.45 -0.4= 0.05) instead of (0.5-0.45 = 0.05). Kindly ignore that and follow the water-cement ratio of 0.45 as in step no.2. Thank you.

    Here, the value is +0.05 so, we have to decrease (-0.01) that's it or else we have to increase +0.01

    Mam in every numerical you subtracted 0.5-0.4 but in this case in the step 5 why you minus 0.45 to 0.4

    Design a M30 grade concrete mix having a slump of 50-75mm for a structure likely to be subjected to extreme exposure conditions during its service life. The aggregates available is well shaped having a nominal size of aggregate of 20mm. specific gravity of 2.62 bulk density of 1540 kg/m3, moisture content = 1.0 percent and absorption = 0.5 percent, whereas the aggregates to be used has fineness modulus of 2.40, specific gravity 2.52. bulk density 1625 kg/m3, moisture content = 5 percent, absorption 0.6 percent. The available Portland cement has specific gravity of 3.14 Use IS method of mix design for mix proportioning to estimate mix proportions.

    The final ratio we got is for weights right. ie 1kg of cement 2kg of fine aggegate....and so on

    Mam after using admixture w/c ratio will be 0.4. Then in step no.5 i.e. aggregate proportion step you added 0.01 one time only. Actually from 0.5 to 0.4 it is need to add 0.01, 2 times. Am i correct? Or any understanding mistake? Waiting for your reply mam.

    Hello ma'am At 12.40 moment there is mistake ,the calculated W/C ratio is .4 but u use the .45 thereby ur calculated value of volm of C.A is wrong & also next value is errorful , so please justify the mistake .
