Mittwork with Joseph Parker

Throwback video. I finally found the video I thought was lost! this was early on my coaching career. What was just a catch up with the cuz, ended up holding mitts for the former world champ and soon to be champ again at his then home gym in Auckland!.

The Joseph Parker, over 10 years ago; now he's at the very top. More proof that success will come. Thank you for posting this video, man.

@@Kevin.Parker588 Well, this is just the opinion of a random dude who is an amateur grappler rather than a boxer. But I'd be interested to see Joseph go up against Tyson Fury. It seems like Francis Ngannou showed that investing in some grappling work could pay off in countering Tyson's strategy of using his weight to gas out and pressure his opponents. Joseph Parker seems to have a similar build to Francis, to the point to where he could probably create a similar level of bulk/strength and technical grappling skills in a relatively short amount of time (in contrast, Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua seem to be naturally slimmer dudes who don't have the potential to build as much mass as quickly, and guys like Usyk seem to have a shorter skeletal build overall that would make it impossible to create a lot of upper body mass while also retaining their speed/dexterity). But these are just my thoughts. What do you think? Edit: I just realized that Fury and Parker are friends, so I understand that the likelihood they fight each other is pretty low.

@@christophercharles3426 thank you, I think this was either 2010 or 2011, he was still in the amateurs just before he turned pro. long time ago now. did you see his last fight with Deontay Wilder? what did you think?
