Mittelbau-Dora/Nordhausen - The camp where the Nazis built their V2-rockets
Mittelbau-Dora (also know as Dora-Mittelbau and Nordhausen-Dora) was a Nazi concentration camp near Nordhausen in Thuringia, Germany. It was established in 1943 as a subcamp of Buchenwald, supplying slave labour for extending the nearby tunnels in the Kohnstein and for manufacturing the V-2 rocket and the V-1 flying bomb. The inmates at Dora-Mittelbau were treated in inhumane manner, working 14-hour days and being denied access to basic hygiene, beds, and adequate rations. On 11 April 1945, US troops freed the remaining prisoners.
The V-1 flying bomb (German: Vergeltungswaffe 1 "Vengeance Weapon 1") was the first cruise missile.

It's so weired seeing all that madness in colour. Unfortunately humanity is still not capable of a peaceful life together. May all victims of WW2 and the pain they had to go through never be forgotten
This is the camp my father went through per Eisenhower's order.
