I think nobody thinks like that. As a matter of fact in NA ecosport is available in 4wd variant which is capable of a little offroading.

@@scrimsome This is exactly what I was talking about. The AWD system in Ecosport is strictly meant for snow and ice. The Ecosport doesn't do any kind of off-roading that a 4Motion Golf R can't do. It is just basic stuff that can sometimes be managed in a normal front wheel drive car as well. It is better only in snow. The Ecosport gives up at the slightest hint of any real off-road obstacles.
