Hi Bob the back seats will fold fully flat if you pull up the base of the seat first, the base of the seat is hinged so very easy to lift up.

I have the 2014 veraion bought at 58000 kiles now on 306900 niles and still going strong! In use as a taxi. My best advice is to change all the transmision oils asap! The oil as supplied will be disgusting and full of machining debris which acts as a grinding paste! Change enginenoil every 8000 miles and all will run for ever.

Just reading your comment as was looking at getting one . I currently have an e class estate but want something cheap to run …as tax bracket now £400 , how many miles per gallon ? I mainly do short trips , taking dogs out mainly ! One I’m looking at has 137,000 miles ( 2014 ) .

Additional info. There is a USB connector in the cubby hole/armrest which will also connect to the infotainment system. An additional 12V outlet is also in there.

If you buy used: 1.Change the generator fluid (it's cvt j4 fluid but this vehicle does not have a cvt) 2. Change the front and rear differential fluid (SP-3 transmission fluid) 3.Change the oil every 3k (I don't care what the book says, do it every 3k with full synthetic) 4.Have a qualified mechanic check your ground wires for corrosion. I'm a ASE master tech that has 2 outlanders, these are my suggestions.

Tbh I think the outlanders are sturdy. I know the majority of people won't bother to change the oils but on autotrader there are many that are over 100k miles so that to me is proof they can last

The electric mileage can be quite poor. 12-15 miles is actually as bad as petrol

Not impressed modest interior better drivable cars out there and no mention of the engine size and how heavy are the big ass litium batteries in the back which makes your compsumption on long drives ridiculous

It's and suv not a sport car your not gonna be looking to clip the apex in it yes the the interior has a traditional look to it but it has everything and more that you get from competitors plus it probably one of the most capable suvs off road for the money out there as it come with 4 wheel drive as standard and finally I invite you to lift the bonnet on one it will give a clear indication how solid mitsubishi s are built the clue is I'm the weight of it.

Interior is comparable to others in it's class, it's actually more comfortable than say a RAV4 or CR-V, you'll need something like a lexus NX to really noticeably best it comfort wise. What I would say is it's infotainment system and overall look of the dashboard is weaker than it's rivals

Definitely not worth it when the heater fails. A known problem. £5850 to fix it according to my dealer.

Yes true. I bought a 2015 one last week and the heater works so fingers crossed. Maybe I should turn on some heating everyday so it maintains it I kinda need it anyway everysay to clear the windscreen

£5850????? There are a few youtube videos showing that the 'heater problem' is just a a filter in the hose that needs washing out every couple of years. These dealership really know how to scam people.
