proud owner of a Mitsu Montero 2015, with almost 300,000km mileage, 1st owner. comfort, drive quality and everything else is very, very good! my aunt, who owns a 2018 top of the line fortuner, had her driver complain of tagtag ride quality, and praised Bespren (my Montero's name) when he drived it over a long distance, both concrete and rough roads.

Fortuner 1st choice namin, but ended up buying Montero Sport 2023 😊 and very satisfied with our decision.

Eto po, if budget mo is for 4x2 variant 1.8m below go for montero, if kaya mo mga 2m, go for forty Q up to LTD

I am blessed to drive both. Both cars ang reliable as long as it is well maintained. For comfort, speed and space go for Montero. For cheaper maintenance cost and if stiff ride is not an issue go for Fortuner.

Bought Montero GLS last April 2021. 5k ODO palang until now Jan. 25, 2022. Masasabi ko lang masarap idrive parang hindi suv ang dinadrive mo kasi malambot at smooth at SULIT!

Both are good. But Montero is the best, all-round mid SUV.

Value for money now is montero because of discount,while fortuner best variant is fortuner Q at 2m price tag.

It took me about 3 months to decide; I had too many inquiries and quotes, did a test drive, and ended up buying the Montero 2023; I am a satisfied and happy Monty owner. Accurate yun mga reviews - super solid ng power, speed, handling at comfort! 😉

*I've own both cars and I prefer Montero, iba kasi sya when it comes to handling*

Montero talaga, kahit na sa mga lower variant nila hindi tinipid sa specs hindi tulad sa lower variant ng fortuner sobrang tinipid, mid variant fortuner vs. Lower variant ng montero la g ang katapat, at mas mahal pa yung fortuner G kesa sa lower variant ng montero na di hamak na mas maganda ang specs.

@@gutadin5 mga simpleng bagay lang naman na hindi masyadong bigdeal pero syempre maappreciate mo din kung meron sa fortuner G tulad ng cruise control, roof rail, mud guard, leather wrap steering wheel & break lever at 18 inch wheel at fog lamps pa pala. At yung auto climate control na aircon. 😊

@@gutadin5 add ko pa pala, parehas sila ng engine na 2.4L pero fortuner G is 148hp lang at 400Nm of torque while Montero Glx has 179hp & 430Nm of torque. Mas lamang padin si montero pagdating sa engine.😊

We have both of these, but I prepare Montero comfort and handling.

Im a big fan of pajero sports and still keep my 2010 model. But unfortunately the new gen is not available for Malaysian market! 😢. Might have to go for fortuner..if I decide to get new vehicle... no choice

Maganda ang fortuner kung top of the line talaga ang bibilhin mo. Kung hindi ay waley. Best to compare is yung standard variant, for me its montero look nyo features. Pero kung may budget ka mas maganda talaga yung ltd fortuner.

Nadale mo, Boss. Puro Toyota din kame dito sa bahay. Pero naglakas loob akong mag Montero sa halip na Fortuner, at hinding hindi ako nagsisisi. Ganun din naman e. Piliin ko na yung sulit ang ibabayad kesa naman sa reason na "resale value", anu ba naman yun? Mas reliable daw ang Toyota sabi nila, e parehas lang naman bibigay yan sa taong tampalasan e. Yung 99 Toyota Revo namen, 300k na natatakbo, malaki na din nagastos namen, more than 20YO na madami dami na napalitan. Natural lang sa sasakyan na bibigay, madaming moving parts yan e. Real talk lang, dito sa lugar namen mas madami pa ako nakikitang Adventure na kahit bulok na naandar pa, kesa sa Revo. Saka L300 van vs sinaunang Hiace, L200 vs hilux. Naubos na din kasi ang lineup ng Auto ng Mitsubishi kaya wala na masyado mapagpilian. Kung ibabalik lang sana Lancer at modernised na Pajero, madami pa din tatsngkilik sa kanila.

Both are good and reliable SUV but Montero is better in terms of performance, handling, power, transmission shifting, cargo space and ride comfort based on my personal experience. But of course you won't go wrong naman if u pick Fortuner. It's just matter of personal taste and preference na lang.

@@MadMax-wh6oe I agree with you just like the Everest.. this is a plus factor on the monte. But what about the resale value if you plan to upgrade a newer model in the future?

I have a 2006 Fortuner. Ang tindi ng tibay nya at super low maintenance. Maganda pa rin ang takbo. Planning to get the LTD or the Q next year.

Both are great vehicles... it all depends on your preference and budget.

True but there one area that Montero is really good in, the suspension. Before forget we did a drag race and the Monte bested the Fortuner(yes we changed drivers ) wished we had a video of the race.

@@SuperJnc1 suspension is preference aswell some may like to feel the actual road. While Montero is for comfort we can't deny how good the Fortuners off-road capabilities and durability. I don't think comparing SUV's on a drag race is necessary. It's an SUV not meant to go fast. You shouldn't even hit 120 so what's the point. Toyota choose to want more torque than power delivery.

The only things I have to say to the people who buy cars buy judging there looks , please dont do it . For example my friend doesn't know anything about fortuner but he still says fortuner is better the montero sport , I asked him why he said fortuner looks better than montero sport . I said have u been inside fortuner . He said no . Then how can he say fortuner is better . 😂

Got the ltd fortuner…astig talaga…with jbl speaker, cool seats, sequential turning signal astig tignan..

You can never go wrong with the Montero. 😁 Practical and worth every penny talaga. Why? Transmission is made by Toyota, kasi naka Aisin ito. You also have the well-known technology of Nissan when it comes to the cooling system and the Air-conditioning system. The Engine is also unique because it has the MIVEC technology. The 4WD system is also unique, the only SUV in its class that has an AWD option. Ride comfort naman, alam na. Hehe. Ayos na ayos talaga. 😁

@Jonathan Pendaton Nah. Mitsubishi and Toyota are both Japanese Brands so they almost have the same reputation when it comes to reliability. I'm speaking from experience, we do own Toyotas too. Toyotas nowadays are not as reliable as they used to be. Yeah sure, they dominated the roads, but a factor that proves my point is, if you're going to observe, there are numerous 90's released Mitsubishi cars that you can still see on the road, there are L300 vans, L200 pickups, Adventure, a bunch of lancers and galants, Pajero that still runs even with missing doors and rusted body. Doesn't that prove they make reliable cars too?

@@ajocorona just sold a ‘99 lancer last week, matining pa ang makina swerte yung nakakuha. Yun naman ‘96 lancer ng wife ko nasa utol nya service nya everyday sa work. Nung 2015 naman we sold our first car - a ‘92 lancer na hanggang ngayon ay nagagamit pa rin. All 3 lancers na-ondoy nung 2009 (taga cainta ako). Later this year malamang kumuha kami ng montero sport. Ok rin naman fortuner due to availability of parts and higher resale value.

Kindly re-check how uncomfortable the rear seats of the Fortuner are. Low ceiling and it's like sitting on a wooden bench. You may also want to re-check the four wheel drive features of the Mitsubishi Montero which is far more superior than the Fortuner's. Especially when you get stuck in the mud.

Walang naging Major Problem ever since kahit sa 2nd owner nya ngayon. Had to test drive the montero sport 2020 also when I am deciding if ill gonna try the mitsubishi, Honestly super impressed ako sa Monty super comfy on driving. But end up to buy the Fortuner 2020, and now I have no regrets! Super powerful super durable! and I can say ill be with this forty again for the next 10 yrs!

Driven both Fortuner and Montero.. For me, maganda sana si Fortuner kung may wiggle room ako kaso sobrang sikip for my size. Antagtag pati. Pero sa Fuel Consumption and Engine Power. panalo! 🥇 Pero sa ride comfort, ample interior space, good-looking exterior design, and quiet but powerful engine, okay na okay ako kay Montero. And its the Mitsubishi Montero Sport For me! 🥇 😁👍

May montero kami since 2010, yung gen 2 battery replacement at PMS lang ang binago, walang major issues. Like sa fortuner ang sikip ng likod inang upuan yan at SOBRANG TAGTAG!!!

@@delconagher12 that's not even the point. The point of having extra seats there means people of average size could also sit there. I'm 5'10 and I was very comfortable being seated at the third row with the montero. But with the fortuner, it was cramped.

@@delconagher12 e kung paano kayo kayong magkakatropa ang gagala tapos fortuner ang gagamitin kasi wala silang sasakyan? edi lugi talaga yung nasa likod. kelangan payat and flexible yung matanda na uupo sa likod kundi makakaupo ka pero di ka kumportable. sa montero, kahit medyo mataba ka or mataba ka, kakasya ka pa rin ng komportable

But fortuner is more reliable than many other competitor. And fortuner has better look than montero.

Sobrang solid talaga montero but I also admire fortuner dahil sa looks. Ang d mo lang talaga maipipintas sa montero is the suspension and feel nung pagdrive. Yan lang ang hndi matalo ni fortuner kay montero. Si montero kahit driver lang ang sakay d sya matagtag, kahit yung 2nd gen same rn ang feel napakacomfy. Kahit icompare ko pa yung montero sa pajero. Mas malambot parin ang suspension ng montero kung icocompare mo pajero.

.... of course am not gonna compare any other car to my Mitsubishi Montero sports premium, it's my 2nd baby back home ....

Grabe tlga pag mitsubishi halos wala tlga makita mga disadvantage while sa toyota mrami heheh like tagtag etc. Pero both maganda

@@gutadin5 mas masikip si fortuner kasi nga side tumble yung cargo space at para kang nakaupo sa sahig lalo na sa third row seat alam ko fan ka lang nang toyota lahat ng montero sabi mo tell us some reasons hahahahaah
