The Snyds Evo don't have MIVEC Turbo?

As a car enthusiast, I give props to anyone who can finely tune the max out of a car engine. Badge or no badge, that Ralliart is fast for a "sedan."

Evo - For paved track preformance Ralliart - for Gravel/Dirt Rally preformance Ralliart - The smaller brakes are important - you can use a smaller wheel. Thats important because if you are going to fit a Gravel tire on there, your going to NEED the extra space that a smaller rim provides. Also much less chance that a rock will get stuck in the calipers. Dual clutch is important, its the closest your going to get to a sequential dogbox from an OEM set up. on the rally course, thats a huge plus to not have to work the clutch when your driving/listening to your navigator (if your doing stage rally) Evo - going high speeds on the track and with large disk brakes you will do better with heat dissipation. Also, you can run a larger tire on pavement as tarmac tires dont need the over-sized sidewall. The suspension is stiff to help corner at high lateral G's. Both are great cars. both made for different reasons. If you know why, then it makes sense.

Just for anyone wondering, RA has a stronger rear diff, non multi link rear suspension unlike the evo, the roof isn't aluminum and doesn't feature the drain tray ribs. The MR 5th and 6th gears are different ratio.

Fender vents are actually designed to reduce drag caused by the tires/wheels. If you think about it you have a large mass of steel/aluminum and rubber spinning at high speeds creating a large turbulent zone under the wheel arches; basically an uneven pressure zone around the tires/wheels which affects the airflow down the side of your vehicle causing more drag. Adding fender vents gives the air an easy passage to smoothly rejoin air flowing down the side of the vehicle reducing drag and also helping get rid of the heat that can be trapped under the wheel arches, but their main goal is to reduce drag; just like front spoilers, rear spoilers, and splitters do. They all help return the turbulent air to the smoother flowing air. They also can create down force which is a big deal when you’re talking exotic cars.

A little more in-depth on a few things you mentioned... The UICP and LICP are interchangeable between them. From factory, Evos ship with a hard plastic UICP and a metal LICP. The Ralliarts came with a soft mesh UICP and plastic LICP. When looking to go aftermarket for a Ralliart, all Evo X piping will mount just fine. In fact, if you don't plan on swapping turbos, the OEM Evo piping, bov, and intercooler are more than sufficient for the Ralliart. The Evo intercooler mounts up perfectly on the Ralliart, it's just larger to allow for better cooling off the twin-scroll. The BOVs are also interchangeable. Stock Evos = metal, stock Ralliarts = plastic.

The Australian Evos had plastic mesh UCIPs, but you had (have)? to be running huge boost to deform them. I'm still running the stock one and I've got just over 400kw at the wheels.

So many people criticizing you guys, at least you pointed out the similarities and differences and maybe a performance comparison in the next you never know! Keep it up guys :)

Daniel Morales the evo x is still a evo, its just a new generation evo, i still prefer the 4g63t evos better, from 6 to 9, my favorite evos of all times the evo VI and the evo VIII MR or the FQ-400...

Correction fender vents are not for cooling brakes they are there to extract engine bay heat.

Excel4600c I took mine completely off and also made the hood vents 100% functional. The vent on the left is partially open but you can unscrew the plates under the vents. I noticed a bit difference during summer. I had also removed the fog lights and got the fog light delete kit to get more air to the intake and to the oil cooler.

Removing the plates under the hood vents is a must. Much better venting of the engine heat especially that heat that gets pushed back into the bay from the IC and radiators. The side vents do vent some heat, but are mainly to vent pressure build up in the bay, which I found mind blowing during the explanation. Removing the fog light assembly is just ghetto. There's a trim kit to replace it but it looks awful to most people as it doesn't fit with the stock bumper well at all. Almost cartoonish. You'd be better served to replace the oil cooler with a more efficient heat-exchanger than to remove the fog light assembly and look ricer AF with a set of gaping holes in your front bumper.

That was cool. Would be nice to have a EVO but I still love my Ralliart she is a lot of fun.

6 speed auto. That fills like a standard. It also has paddle shifts which are a lot of fun. It also has a sport mode that you can put it in. She is a blast to drive a lot of fun.

if you are going to tune, get the ralliart and spend the extra money to effecivaly go above and beyond the evo, becasue they are effectivaly both the same engine and gearbox, 4wd system is a little bit better on the evo but no bigge at all.

Also...the gearing in the Ralliart SST is taller than an lancer Evolution...therefore the Ralliart will have a higher top speed. I bought my Ralliart (JP spec) brandnew and i wanted/liked the Sportback a lot better than the sedan...i have only seen 3 other RA Sportbacks and only one in black where im from in 9 years...but seen hundreds of lancer evolutions. The Mitsubishi dealer actually gave me an evolution for 3 days to test drive...so ive driven both but ultimately i obviously went Ralliart. Why? I have a quicker, better handling car than a stock Evolution and for far less money....($7000 in mods on my RA) The thing i have found is Evolution owners always say an evolution is better to warrant all the extra money they had to spend...as we say in Australia...its more Ego than Evo...

The Ralliarts are going UP in price here in Australia now...and most Lancer Evolutions have had the guts thrashed out of them or been badly modified. You can get nice well kept factory low kilometre Ralliarts but the evolutions not so much...spend $3 -$5k on a Ralliart and you have an awsome quick car.

They both nice cars, i still take the evo over the ralliart, the ralliart was made to compete with the base impresa wrx and and evo to compete with the sti, i still like mitsubishi better than subaru anyday!

It's too bad mitsubishi never made stick shift ralliart models they probably would have sold a good amount of them if they did offer a manual. Not quite an Evo but 240hp awd stick shift would still be a quick fun car to drive and obviously very tuneable

Sell it and buy a Ralliart or Evo. Ralliarts are dirt cheap now & will be far easier to tune up than your DE.

Mitsubishi evo 10 is my dream car

I believe the blow off valve on the Evo is installed incorrectly. Because of the piping the way it is installed it won’t be able to activate it to recirculate, perhaps you can check that out?

So basically Evo 10 is the real car and the ralliart is like a sporty version of a standard lancer.

Bro, if you have not yet, a switch to an Evo X Bypass Valve will make the car perform much better. The stock plastic one is leaky, the Evo's is metal and leaks less. Making it have more power in the later rpms especially at WOT. And it is technically stock.

Evos are just too expensive. Also, they should’ve make a sport back version of the evo.

Both awesome cars. But I'm biased towards Mitsubishi. However, I've seen a lot of money dumped into an STI just for a stock Evo to keep up or even beat it.

bro i love your tasteful accents on your ralliart. the orange and shit, all match good and you picked a great color to paint you wheels. Can't say the same for your buddies Evo. why anyone would take a dual exhaust car and put an ugly ass fart can single exhaust makes it look goofy as fuck, plus the debadging and removing foglights. yikes

Officially it was because of the emissions legislation becoming too restrictive. Unofficially, Mitsubishi just wanted to become another shit manufacturer of crappy cars nobody wants.

You can still get brand new 2017 Lancer GTs dirt cheap from dealers if you search hard. I got mine for around $10k. It's no Evo but it does exactly what a grocery getter should do and some fun at that. It's cheaper than a base model Civic and Corolla where I live.

The MR doesn't comes without rearwing in standard.😉 The MR is in difference to the GSR a bit less powerfull, but you dont realy feel the difference.😊

Wtf?? Here in switzerland comes the mr without a wing and it's not less powerful It has stock eibach springs and bilstein dampers and a lighter brembo brakes than the gsr

MR or GSR everything is the same except the transmissions. Some countries the suspension and brakes might be different but the main thing is the SST for MR and 5-speed standard for GSR.

In older models the MR was more of a striped down model to be lighter more "race car" and think stick only not sure.

Older models you mean the 9 and 8? and it wasn't a stripped down model. The later generations had an RS version that was stripped for racing...no sound system or A/C amongst other things. The Evo X also had an RS but was a JDM only car.

Excel4600c Every Evo has a RS Trim and that's not true with 10 RS is jdm only.. I know 5 or more evo 10 RS and they are all left hand drive

I would love ralliart but they only make them automatic

@@TheSnyds SPORTBACK....Not hatch. Hatchs are 3 door...Sportbacks are 5...mine is a Sportback, i prefered it more than a sedan...one main reason i didnt get a Lancer evolution. Ralliart was available as sedan or Sportback here as well.

01GTB Daily no the hell it does not. It has a baby td04 turbo. Evo ixs have a larger turbo than evo x's but x's are more efficient. ix turbos flow lbs per minute.
