Lyrics:
I will retire to the Salton Sea
At the age of 23
For I'm starting to learn I may never be free
But though I may never be free
Fuck you and your money
I'm tired of your money
And I sit on the curb 'cause it's the prettiest night
With no one else in sight
You know I wore this dress for you
These killer heels for you
See the dark, it moves
With every breath of the breeze

something ominous about her not screaming in this performance. i can still hear her screaming in my mind and i crave for her to actually do it which makes it even more painful and uncomfortable. i live for the discomfort drunk walk home makes me feel. it's like i'm on fire and too tired and confused to do anything about it. i have all this burning energy and no way to channel it so i hurt myself. i feel blessed to know mitski's music

I miss u Mitski
This performance kind of reminds of the lyric from Seven by Taylor Swift - "Before I knew civility, I used to scream ferociously any time I wanted." It's almost like Mitski's breaking free from those same chains and instead is allowing herself to feel this emotion and freedom in its utmost intensity on her terms and I love it.
