I went out there last summer. Up to the top of Mitre and back out in a day. It was late December so one of the longest days of the year.
Nice video and I agree that it's a great place! Pity you weren't able to get to Mitre Peak - the view from there is fantastic (when not clouded in!). We did the trip a short while ago and had a very enjoyable time - we were lucky with the weather. While we were there a Doc ranger came through assessing the track and gps marking all the tree-falls so hopefully they will clear the track soon. Cheers!
