Superb quality throughout, easy to assemble. I found the saw to be highly accurate and a delight to use (I am a homeowner using this saw for various projects). I attached the saw to a folding mobile stand to save space and that works great kzread.infoUgkxPeGkHOMe05FySypTOvYumxMn-xi39oRe as well. However, you have to be sure the saw is securely locking in position before collapsing the stand. I've had many of the brands over the years and have come to point where I only buy Bosch, the extra money is a small price to pay for the quality and ease of use. Treat yourself to the best.

I'm spending a lazy day reviewing favorite Woodworking videos. Thank you again for all these wonderful ideas. After a five or so month wait, the Incra TS-LS Joinery System arrived. It's rail mounted to the sides of my 31" x 80" workbench with a Makita Jobsite saw dropped into the center. Wonderful to have Incra Positioner. Once I figure out what pattern to use placing dog holes with the Parf Guide, I may remove the trails and mount my Incra Positioner as you did and drop a Micro-jig/Parf Guide attractive down one side. Again, thanks for the ideas.

Just subscribed. Great channel! An even easier way to cut the center dovetail groove without measuring is to just get it close... run the piece thru , then flip it around and run it back thru again. The slot will automatically be in the middle of the piece. Then you can sneak up on the tails for a perfect fit every time. Keep up the great woodworking! And I love your video skills too. I myself am trying to get away from my table saw as much as possible now as well (for several different reasons, but the biggest is safety due to some recent, very knarly kick backs that I'm lucky to have not been injured from). I've been looking for ways to rebuild my miter saw table and adding some sort of measuring device, as most of the wood I cut is roughly 13" (325'ish mm) and under. I will be implementing all your suggestions here, thanks again! Keep up the great work! I thought the music was ok, not the greatest. With that said, I don't really care what music is playing, as i'm here to listen to you and learn and not listen to music. Only reason I'm saying this is because of the comment below vvvvv.

I sure do wish you had been more specific about some of the stuff you used, like that clamp, and the piece you got at home depot!! I do love your videos, as as they give me great ideas for my pretty well outfitted shop. (i have a lot of the stuff you do, or very similar stuff, and im glad you use the incra ls, which is one of my favorite tools. I have a lot of stuff from incra. Being in the USA, in NY, i cant seem to find the black high density MDF over here, so i have been using Corian (i got it really cheap). I made your zero clearance insert for my Unisaw last night, and it has made my dust collection SO much better. I had tried a hood above, which helped, by no where near what yours did. I like your "out of the box" approach, and you get me thinking. Thanks so much!

like the ideas but have struggled with a zero clearance insert on my Dewalt. The insert blocks the suction path so that I end up with saw dust blowing back. How did you resolve that or is it perhaps a function of my saw? Thanks.

id have to make a lot of inserts with how many different blades I use. I want a kapex but I think it is limiting to fine stuff better than my dewalt 12" slider but cant chop as much material, as the other day I had to cut 6 inch thick material and it was hungry for more. Very nice design and keep the videos rolling.

Love your Channel. How I am very new to woodworking and do not thank I could repeat what you are building, for example your drill press and miter saw bench and the upgrades you added. I don’t have the confidence yet to strike out on my own without having measured plans. Instructions would be your videos. So what I am asking is do you sale plains for any of your benches, and the Accessories. If not I understand. The layout of your shop with the wall storage is very nice. I really like the the use of the black MDF.

I love the removable fence, but I wonder whether it would be better to incorporate the bench dog holes into the fence extension base itself? That would guarantee both front to back, and left to right alignment. You might still need the clamps to prevent lifting, but I've seen "expanding" (clamping) bench dogs that could eliminate that as well.

Hi David, Good comment. I'm going to change that in the future because I actually think you're right. It gives just a little more certainty and does not take much extra time to make it. I do think you need a clamp because I think those "expanding bench dogs" are not long enough to clamp two plates together. I think they are intended to secure well in a hole.

Love your black MDF board. I’ve not seen it in Australia though.

Agree with all the others comments, really content, professional presentation....man you must be part German :-) Where about in the Netherlands are you based? Would love to stop by some time.

Clever upgrades. I wonder though at the height of your fence. What do you do if you wanted to cut a compound miter cut on say a 20 cm wide (or wider) piece of crown molding? Do you have a higher fence for those situations?

Great ideas thanks. One thing to mention is that for the zero clearance blocks on the fence if instead of the dovetail you used a dado or 90deg slot the width of your plywood stock you could use plywood blocks as sacrificial blocks for infrequently used angled cuts including tilted rather the rotation mitres. But hey I guess you could even batch a load of dovetailed ones too? Anyway love the ideas and yes at least lower the volume of the music so it sounds less like a commercial!

Hi Ruaridh, thanks for you comment and your suggestion. You are right that you can use different methods to fit the mid section. I choose dovetail for a reason. As long that I leave one side of the miter fence in place, I always secured that the blad will be right in the middel of the saw blade. Because the dovetail connection gives no play for the midsection to move to left and right. That does not mean that a dado can work as well. And about the music. Consider it done. That is something I still have to do. I am thinking of making a T-track top of the fence with a sliding stop and a ruler against the fence. But on this moment, the old fashion way with a ruler and pencil and than cut against the line. With the festool I can make pretty accurate cuts against a line.

Black MDF I get a lot of questions about the black MDF. In the Netherlands this is fairly easy to obtain in the hardware stores. Here they call it fully colored MDF. Valchromat is also a fully colored MDF that is available everywhere. I think this is also very suitable, but it is much more expensive. However, this is a bit more robust, stiff and denser than the MDF I use. What I use is not Valchormat, but it looks a lot like that. What I use is cheaper and costs around 80 euros here in the Netherlands for a 240 x 120 cm sheet. I see several manufacturers worldwide who make fully colored mdf. The problem is that there is no brand name here in NL for this MDF. So I find it difficult to indicate which MDF is comparable with this worldwide. I believe in the USA this could be the same: www.forescolorusa.com

I love your shop. There is so much natural light! What are its dimensions of the building? My shop is only 10' x 16' which is tight but the largest I wanted in the back yard so there is still plenty of room for my dog to run around and stretch his legs. This miter fence is beautiful, as nice as INCRA products are, they are way too expensive for most hobbyist. If I was doing this for income then I would want the best for accuracy. Is this what you do for a living? I like the clamp you added which I can easily install on my miter saw as I have about 6 of them indifferent sizes. I'm going to include this to a mobile miter station design with fold out wings. since I don't have the room for a big permanent station. The New Yankee Workshop put out a design on his channel that each side is folded twice so another wards, when you open a wing in the up position which is 3' long, you then reach behind that wing and another section folds out giving you a full 6' of length on both sides allowing you to cut 10-12' boards. Hi, This clamp is part of the Bosch PBD40 Drill machine. I Am not aware that you can buy this separate. But I have to say it is one aspect I like about the Bosch PBD40. But in General I think you can get better machines for this money in terms on stability and accuracy

I must compliment you on your excellent video Dennis it's nice of you to spend the time and give people information and actually do a demonstration of the product that your using.. I do have a question about that MDF product that you used on a zero clearance insert and I'm assuming it's the same product that you using on the miter saw upgrade? I live in the United States so I know everything can be a little more difficult because people here don't want to adapt to the metric system. People tend not to like change lol I do have another question I was looking at buying some power tools from China and I couldn't get any straight answers on if there able to be converted to the American power standard of 110 or 220. If you had any insight on that that would be great to know. Keep up the excellent work I'm guessing you're either an engineer or an architect because you're meticulous in your details? I wish you the best with your channel

This is harder and smoother over time when using it.I can not answer your power tool question. I am sorry. For my work i come from a very different background. So if I can make it, everybody can😁. @@HookedonWood Dennis thank you for taking the time out to answer my message.. for me it was somewhat different my father was an engineer at Grumman first he worked on the Apollo lunar module and then he went to work on the f-14 program. So everything that he did around the house was done a lot like you very meticulous and very much attention to detail which is how I ended up being that way. I worked in the aviation field for many years and just recently retired. I recently put a dormer on top of my garage and built a woodworking shop. I wish you the best

Hi, For a mitersaw, it is very nice. I think best in class, and one of the reason why I bought it. I increased the diameter from my suction hose, to get better performance. In thicker wood, it performs better than on 18mm wood. But still, I am very satisfied.

Unfortunatelly, Bessey changed internal mechanism design of those clamps, because Armor-Tool obviously holds the patent. Bessey's clamps are now practically useless, they seem to not lock well in down position, and they do not offer enough auto-adjusted pressure. Hi Lukas, sorry for my late response. Yes, I am satisfied with the dust collection. I think they are best in class. But you have to go cut in one movement. If you first cut a little and then the full cut it gives more dust. But one cut, especially thicker wood works very well. Dennis

Hi Michael, It is not so difficult to make, and every miter saw is different, so that is why a plan is difficult. Because a lot of people do not have a router table, I think I will make a few universal ones that people can cut in the right dimensions. What you get is basically the fence and the middle peace with the dovetail cut. I plan to sell these for a friendly price. Especially that this Full colored MDF is hard to get in some countries. I am busy on this moment making a new workbench, and when that is ready I start whit that project.

This is what we call Fulll colored MDF. It is a bit like Valchromat.

Expensive stuff but i can see the benefits of using it for jigs and alike.

Very nice video. Please lower the music volume on future videos. A good example was how loud it suddenly became around 4:30.

Top: Black MDF, something similar to Valchromat. I get it from here: (Netherlands) www.af.nl/voorraad/plaat/mdf-gekleurd/zwart.htm

Anyone in the UK sourced the coloured mdf that isn't Valchromat (ie more like £80 a sheet than £120)?

Great video, terrible music haha does anyone know what clamps they are. They look good and would like them for mine
