Shri Ravan, let's not forget he is till date the most disciplined and biggest devotee of Mahadev. One of the 10 heads was a great scholar, a great king and a great giver. Only his Ego got the best of him through a boon given by Brahma Dev. Shri Ravan has a lot to teach us in the modern age, especially how to get the best of Kalyug along with embracing Brahman teachings. Shri Ravan was not completely evil. On another note, non of this was Myth, it was Reality! Any one who disagrees, take a look in the mirror, today you also carry one of the heads of Ravaan, ego, lust, Greed...TRUTH! Har Har Mahadev ❤

This is the philosophy atheists take so they can slowly tear down the fabric of religiousness. Of course this is also the method that Christian evangelists take as they slowly brainwash Hindus to convert. Coming from Kerala, he is heavily surrounded by anti Hindu rhetoric. The very fact that he subtly discounts everything as stories, myths, mythology and many such subtle references of non belief shows his heart doesn’t hold Hindu Gods in Bhakti. It’s just a theory to study, for him. Wonder what curse this man is living out. I will give one example. Jaya-Vijaya say ‘please don’t keep us away from you for 100 janmas, it is unbearable even if we are your bhaktas. We would rather be your enemies and become examples of good and evil to the world and come back to you in 3 janmas’. But this man described it as ‘They don’t want to be blind bhaktas’. That reveals him to you!!😊

Whilst some of the things this man says may be uncomfortable to hear in the moment, it really gives the intellectual person food for thought. It is such a pity that this is one of Ranveer's shortest podcasts. Why is it so short? Was it too controversial for the masses? It seems to have significantly less views than some of the other podcasts. I am going to have to look out for more from this man as I thoroughly enjoy it when someone challenges my conventional ideas and pushes me to revisit what I think I know.

1.Valmiki ramayan is oldest , you cant deny the fact. 2. This person mentality is clear(love for ravana & hate for hindu gods, when he says: -Ravana is lynched -Rama is a failed attempt -Rishis are full of lust. They are not able to control their mind. But we (today humans) are able to control, so even we are better than rishis mentioned in hindu scriptures. - He said Ravan has written so many scriptures/ books, but he(Anand Neelkantan) has no book to support his point - What is the architecture of Ayodhya, (you can go to Patala from there) 3. Jaya, Vijaya are cursed by 4 Sanat Kumaras not by Durvasa. 4. Option was for 7 lives as bhakts or 3 lives as enemies.not 100 lives as bhkts and 3 as enemies.

So amazing to see this academic and analytical breakdown of the epic. Thank you for doing this mate; and this is such a treasure. There has to be huge effort put by the leaders to collate and document all these aspects of our culture, history and being. I know that some govt will pursue their own agenda and crush all varied opinions to push a unified view; but it will be such a disaster if we loose all this information/knowledge. We need to promote people to open up their minds and be accepting of various stories. Afterall the truth and real knowledge lies somewhere between the lines of all these. Thanks mate and keep up the good work. And was truly saddened to see some of the comments that were unaccepting of any other opinion other than one; which shows how closed their minds are and how unwilling are they to learn or grow.

brilliant brilliant is all i can say - its an eye opener , and we have to accept the fact that we are all seekers and as such the journey never really ends . we have much to learn , to learn we must keep our minds aperture open
Amazing thought provoking episode. Mind blowing seriously!
One of the best episodes. Ranveer you are one of the best host, who knows what to ask and how important it is to give space to the guests and let them talk, an excellent characteristic of yours, appreciations for that.

The oldest ramayan written is Valimiki ramayan. If today suppose I write ramayan with changes according to my culture or my opinion, so should future generations believe my version of ramayan as authentic or valmiki ramayan as authentic ?

This guy has a history of distorting our Scriptures and Dharma.. Valmiki Ramayan was the first, oldest and is the authentic Ramayan and Maharshi Valmiki wrote this when Shree Ramchandra was the king of Ayodhya and his contemporary.. All other Ramayan by various Rishis and authors were written as per with the culture, people, geography, language and other factors and moreover they refer to Valmiki Ramayan as their source and give respect for to Valmikiji in their work... Like I can write my version of Ramayan today but it won't be the actual Ramayan, Valmiki Ramayan is the original one, I hope u understand

Best, the most nonsense talk on Ramayan where the guest can't even accept that Valmiki Ramayan is the first, oldest and authentic Ramayan which was written by Maharshi Valmiki when Shree Ramchandra was ruling Ayodhya and Brahma ji assigned Valmiki ji to compile Ramayan, for more context and information about how Valmiki ji compiled Ramayan please read Bal Kand of Valmiki Ramayan and later authors, poets, Gurus wrote their version of Ramayan and modified it as per with the situation, language, people, culture etc.. They mention Valmiki Ramayan as their source in their work and thank Valmiki ji

This is what I love about Hinduism...there are so many layers varying with geography and languages that teaches you good ...we are not one line culture and we don't want to be that we are multilayered, multidimensional everything multi ...and we love it
Quite interesting episode that reveals stories that were unknown to me.. Thank you so much
Ramayana Is HISTORY no matter what philosophical perspective is put forward. In every Four Yugas, Kali is the last of Yugas and for every Kali yuga Ramayana did happen in every Treta yuga.

Okay so I had my head phones on with high volume and was working while listening. The part where you so unexpectedly shouted your lungs out. BRO... DAMN MY EARS ARE STILL RINGING. 😂 But I guess this version deserves a screams of astonishment for how it's completely destroyed the whole version of ramayan We've all grown up with.

A total untold n unheard perspective... Which really needed to be observed from an open mind with a clear slate ❤️ lvd it.. hope we can come up with him more on lord Ganesha n kartikey.
@Anand Neelkanthan sir!!! It's an honor to hear you..finally! 🙏 In college days when I read your book 'Asura' where you touched on this alternative view of Ramayana ( Raavan being Sita's father, Hanuman and Vibhishan being main antagonists and eventually the observer, when he sees what happens to Ayodhya in the end).. I was blown away, there's a perms impression on my head of that book!.. The way you wrote that book, the strong rationale and logic backing it like almost evidences, it opened my mind to multiple interpretations. The proud Hindu that I am, my faith didn't quivered but that was the first time I started accepting our Gods as super humans and not super naturals, incidentally making the concept of 'Avatar' feel so much more possible and logical. And hearing you in this podcast, same mass load of knowledge and energy with lots of depth and no apparent end base, trying to share the 'right' knowledge through multiple perspectives. You deserve the respect you have earned sir.. in leaps and bounds.. 🙏
So the ultimate lesson is just follow your heart... Where you find the Peace and the positive energy without harming any creature... I am bangali guy and i honestly find myself in the temple of kali and shiva a sense of another kind of energy and a positive vibes every time I visit....
Very informative and different perspective are explained well.
that was so validating. for last few weeks I was going through many doubts and questions. this guy has shown a good perspective. please do more episodes with him. would love to hear more from him.
This was a definitely a new approach to the existing belief system..an elaborate episode is required for better understanding on this topic..liked it
Thank you for inviting him Ranveer. This was a very interesting conversation. Please have him over again!
Hello Ranveer I recently saw khan academy Sanskrit video and notice that it gave me more knowledge than my 2 year sanskrit course ,it literally gave me goosebumps so I think you should share that knowledge with our fellow Indians as the video was made by Americans and it has much knowledge than other language videos. for eg dyus pitr=zues peter, volkswagen=lok wahan, etc I hope this comment gets read by Ranveer and team 👍

I have read his books 🙌🏻 his intellect is 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
Beautiful explanation by Mr. Anand 🙏 Thank you BeerBiceps for bringing out this topic 👍🏽
The sure shot way to know about our own Sanksriti and history is to read the actual texts. I have started reading the original Ramayan Text, Valamiki's Ramayan ( originally in Sanskrit with Hindi translation) and trust me, I'm just half way through the first chapter ( Baalkand) and I've discovered things that I never even heard or saw. Sanaatan Dharm ka mukhya stambh gyaan hai, jab gyaan rahega tab buddhi badhegi. Jab buddhi badhegi tab man par niyantran aayega. Jab man par niyantran aayega tab aatma ki tripti hogi❤️
The oldest version of Ramayan was valmiki one .the other versions are dubbed or adapted by it and if you have a good mind only .you can understand that if someone is dubbing something in their language they have to alter some thing as for books they can alter tradition or argument as well to make it more understandable to regional people

There is nothing called as oldest version, we follow the cyclicals timescale and there no one is old or new, its the way as it is
never knew so many stories he stated , thanks for this podcast .
Probably one of my favourtie episodes. You need to get him on again!!!
when in the end he said that all the books need to be evolved/revised, that made me realized that maybe the same thing happened with Ramayna. That's why there are so many versions of it exists. Each province, culture revised and evolved it as per their morales and values. To understand the changes, we need to understand the context of those changes.
Goosebumps throughout the sessions.. need more topic like this..
We need more of him. Please explore whatever Sir has to say. Lot of knowledge goosebumps. Thank you TRS

Sri Lanka is not the Lanka of Ramayana. According to Valmiki Ramayana, Ravana's Lanka was situated down in the middle of the Indian Ocean. The present day distance between India and Sri Lanka does not match with distance mentioned in Valmiki Ramayana. And Ramayana is not 7000 years old, it's a million year old history. It also documented many extinct animals.
