That rhystic study was painful to watch. And then using war priest on impact tremors before the study hurt even more. People need to start respecting Rhystic Study. It actually reads "Spells you cast cost 1 more to cast"

Heard the intro for Roon and stopped the video immediately to like it and continue watching. Actual lol.

Always love watching the Mistform deck perform well :) My usual playgroup has been experimenting with starting at 30 life vs 40 (commander damage stays at 21) and so far it's made the games a lot more interesting and we can usually squeeze in a couple more games. Life has become less of a currency, early-game attacks/damage matter a whole lot more down the stretch, and we don't have to get bogged down in one game for hours

I would love to see more from your zedruu deck. I actually like enchantment commanders and especially if their not green.

Tbh I think Andrew is okay with that. The deck seems to be in a great spot where it certainly can win, it's not overpowered and it's also not lackluster. It's always extremely interesting. However I do think with this game he should've won.

With infinite mana from Drake + Deadeye, he drops Venser, pairs him with Deadeye and flickers Venser as much as he wants, bouncing all of the opponents' permanents, including lands. It's a game-ending lock, as no one else will keep lands on the field and Venser can also bounce whatever 1 CMC spells they manage to cast.

Can someone explain the logic of picking 1 with goblin game? Don't you just lose, no matter what?

Haven't gotten to that part of the video yet, but if you are in a situation where goblin game can't kill you (no wound reflection or friends) then betting 1 or 0 will always do the least damage if you lose. For example, say you're at 40 life. Betting 1 and losing puts you 40->39->20. If you bet 5 and lose 40->35->17. In that scenario, 1 is a much safer bet if you know that your opponents can bet more than you. Sure, you can bet 15 and come out ahead in the 40 life example, but you can only ever beat the 1 life bet by going Half your life-1. At 10 life a 1 losing bet is equal to a 5 winning bet, and much better than a 5 losing bet

I wish my playgroup cared about time. My group will turn a 30 minute game into a 3 hour game, if it means making no one do anything for the next hour.

@@VadeSatana Well, in my group of 15 people we basically know if either of the 2 people are playing. Not to have any plans at all. I've also had 4 player games, when we were having fun, but then nothing was happening, no one was getting any removal, when someone did it got countered. The person who was doing the control wasn't able to do anything else. We tend not to do too much with win cons. Instead they just have actually nothing going on. Like it was just a stalemate. No cards were able to be played, and no one could attack. It's just went on and on. It actually went for 3 hours and 26 minutes, then we got rid of one of the pieces of his board, and instantly everyone killed him. Then back to playing magic. He isn't allowed in the group anymore. That is just 1 situation.

Please tell JR he needs to learn how to play the goblin game...

Seems like your groups actively work against any red deck you see, thinking they're the real problem with 1-2 permanents 👀 yet the blue players get a rhystic study to trigger 955 times and nobody blinks an eye.

Honestly I’m glad the Chaos deck fell flat. It was a fun game to watch and Chaos has a way of ruining fun games
