Good journalism does" was all about ratings (viewership number) and media competition - kung sinong pinapakinggan, binabasa at pinanonood, compared to the honest, factual and neutral news media reporting that usually triumphs in the end. Ang sagot ni Ormoc: "...(1) so based on my own interpretation of this quote, it simply means it's not based on how you work or how you succeed your work (grammar lapses. First sentence pa lang out of topic na). (2) It's more on how hard you tried to do your work, especially that journalism is about making stories (another sentence that's out of topic). (3) It's not about rating; it's all about how you value or how you accept yourself (where is this flow of thoughts going? accept yourself? why is the self included? How is the question of self acceptance related to the topic?), and how proud you are of your own work (out of topic). The prompt needs COMPARISON AND CONTRAST of two kinds of journalism- the sensationalized and highly opinionated journalism versus good journalism- the kind that is honest, straight forward, and factual. Now prove to me that you're smarter and I'm an idiot by taking a line (sentence or phrase from Laguna's answer, just tell me the number) that goes beyond the topic. Manhunt franchise has been with Jonas Gaffud of MUP for several years now. Mister International Phil. is now a standalone pageant last produced by it's parent Mister International just a few months ago.

If I were to judge them according to understanding and appropriately responding to the question, language ability and idea/topic development skills (either in English or Filipino languages), and communicative confidence and articulation, these are my top 5 winners: Laguna 10 pts, Cebu 9.5 pts, Nueva Ecija 9.3 pts, KSA 9.0 pts, Tuburan Cebu 8.8 pts. The rest have language and communicative skills but did not answer the questions properly. Many of them have the penchant of making their own lives and experiences as an illustration but did not aptly hit the mark.

I think so. Its evident even in female pageants. I think its because of their upbringing and education. Cebuanos in particular are honed to speak english very well. Thats why theyre so comfortable with it, as its their mother tongue.

Good job guys. But i think the top 3 candidates who gave the best response in terms of logic, coherence are: 1. Cebu City: the best! Flawless! 2. KSA 3. Ormoc
