Same but I thought oh they dead huh I already got a feeling they'd die, but seeing it like that and reading knowing full well they were not going oy make it to see the world they helped create, lying dead in flowers that they haven't seen yet Vin kept Mare's drawing of a flower before giving it over to Sazed... It was hope. To see flowers one day. Bittersweet but beautiful. They ARE surrounded by flowers, holding each other's hands, making the world the way they hoped it to be.

I finished the book yesterday and sobbed for an hour

This is the only time where I've been okay with the lead man and woman dying in the end. Sanderson managed leave us a feeling of optimism for the future of Scadrial, and let us know that Vin and Elend were asked if they were okay with death, and they were. Death in this case was a well earned vacation after what these two had been through, and there was a happy afterlife waiting for them.

I liked Vin's reaction to Elend's death. It hurt, but they both knew Elend had been living on borrowed time ever since the events at the Well. It also enables her to kill Ruin.

I dont like how in era 2 all the era 1 characters are just myths. After finishing the era 1 trilogy i honestly thought that in the era 2 trilogy these characters would be part of history, not myth...

Phenomenal ending. The audio makes it even more surreal and beautiful. I never would've guessed Sazed was the hero of ages, much less an eventual god more powerful and sensible than preservation and ruin itself. It's one of those things that make so much sense after the fact, and truly completed this series for me in a way that leaves me content, even with our beloved characters dying.

I've yet to read any books that touch my heart the way Sanderson's does. I honestly think he's one of the best fiction writers out there today. All of his stories end in a beautiful way.

Im not trying to brag or anything, but from the first time we saw Sazed, it was obvious to me that he is the hero of ages. Since i wasnt supersized when he realised, I still very much enjoyed it.

just finished the trilogy a moment ago... i don't know what to say.. speechless.. the ending beautiful yet unsatisfied.. sad but happy at same time...

I saw this recommended to me before reading the Hero of Ages and I was so frustrated at myself that I knew that Vin and Elend would get a happy ending...little did I know then that this was after their death.

I was sad when I read the trilogy, sad for it to end and sad for Vin and Elend. But it didn't really hit me until I've listened to this and I legit cried "Our friends are happy"

The Lord Ruler served Preservation faithfully, and did everything to protect Scadrial. He got paranoid about Ruin escaping, and went, as we may say, a bit far in his quest to keep Scadrial alive. The ashmounts, red sun and plants, skaa system, and the tyrannical dictatorship was all a result of Rashek following the extremes. No Shard is good at an ultimatum, and Rashek chose the lesser of the two. No, he was not a good man. But he DID care about Scadrial. In his own way, he was a hero, and a horrible tyrant. That's what makes him so complicated.

I have just finished this series and I feel sad that the journey with Vin and Elend is over. I have never felt this way about the conclusion of a series - oddly satisfied that the ending is at it should be and yet sad that our two beautiful heroes gave everything, including their lives to save the world. What an amazing writer Brandon Sanderson is!!

Stayed up until 2 AM finishing Hero of Ages and it was WELL WORTH IT

I stood at my window looking outside and tears were just flowing. I can't bear to read that series again and feel the pain. Vin...you have my pain. Thanks BS for writing Secret History it helped my heart heal... somewhat.

The ending is beautiful. I wouldn't have it any other way. Elend was on borrowed time. He basically already died in the WoA. This gave Vin a level of understanding and acceptance that was necessary to destroy Ruin. Don't think of this as death, but like a rest. Those two had been through so much. They deserve to go Beyond with each other.

Question if Sazed were to bond a Spren and become a Knights Raident, which order do you think he'd be in? Personally I think he'd start out as an Edgedancer but then would also bond with a Truthwatcher Spren. And Sanderson has confirmed it's possible to bond with more than one Spren it's just very rare. And given that Sazed is one of if not the only Vessel to hold two Shards I think it would fit him well.

As a man who has seen and felt with a lot of death in my life and had gotten to a point where it affected me very little the end of these books crushed me and made me sob like I haven’t in decades.

I don't suppose we could get a few more of these "samples" out of you, could we? Pwetty pwease? There's a lot of Stormlight rips on KZread. And Stormlight is wonderful, but I'm a Mistborn fan first.

Such a beautiful and bittersweet ending

Eventhough their deaths wasnt annoying and definately worked well, I still hope to see them return later. Vin and elend were my favorite sanderson charachters, topping even those from stormlight.

I theorize the future of the Metallic Arts will deal with Necromancy and that Ettmetal is used to steal the attributes of Shards in a corporeal form since normal Hemalurgic methods would just make a person die from an overload. Maybe it's the Blood of Adonalsium since to gain a Hemalurgic charge of a relatively large quantity is counterintuitive to Hemalurgy and it's investiture latency, but that wouldn't be so if Hemalurgic Ettmetal spikes were related to some sort of blood which can prevent investiture loss with Hemalurgic Spikes. I've also been wondering if, since an Allomancer can burn any metal inside their body and not just any inside their stomach, can a leecher make an Iron Allomancer's blood disappear. Cadmium Twinborn can be genetically engineered to store a different element than oxygen in Their breath and use their blood as metalminds. They then use this to control feruchemical ships by touch alone rather than require medallions and power their feruchemy by ingesting a Cadmium-Ettmetal alloy or Ettmetal Oxide or using stored Ettmetal Oxide gas in their Cadmiumminds. I also think Gold and Aluminum feruchemy can allow people to shapeshift. I think Ettmetal Compounding can allow for Feruchemical Constructs like god mode armour or making constructs from Feruchemy Investiture like an entire ship or a Firesoul making Firespren or perhaps Feruchemy Savants can embody the feruchemical traits like say, a Pewter Feruchemist becoming akin to a Koloss but sane and with tentacles or a Firesoul becoming a fire type being or having fire based powers. A Copper Twinborn with power over gravitation could compound copper containing knowledge on the Knights Radiant and realise that using Nicroburst Allomancy a Skimmer could make Himself infinitely lighter, losing more weight than He or She actually weighs and thus weighing a negative amount, by siphoning Investiture from multiple Skimmers, all simultaneously filling Steelminds, through Nicroburst touch allowing a Skimmer to levitate.

Where is this audiobook

I remember seeing this fanart just when i was starting to read the first mistborn book and I just knew they looked so damn peaceful..too peaceful. I never got spoiled exactly but this fanart..I knew it was coming somehow since then but that didn’t stop me from tearing up in the end.

It was okay, the whole book felt like a extra long epilogue to book 2 if you ask me. Like the whole time they book was just stalling until vin figured out who to beat ruin. I give the whole series a 8/10. I very much enjoyed it, but book 1 and 2 feel more like mistborn and I wouldn't have been sad if the series ended with book 2. Book 3 just feels like budget Stormlight.

I like the ending, but really think that Spook should have got a nice message from his Uncle.

Graphic Audio is indeed pricey but the product they put out is well worth the shekels if you have some to spare. But the place you are looking for is audiobookbay - If you can't afford it, might as well torrent it as Graphic Audio deserves all the recognition it can get, regardless of the source.
