Mistakes you can't afford to make this year in your OCR A Level Physics exams

How many of these mistakes have you made recently? These are the top mistakes that students made last year in the OCR Specification A and B Physics A Level exams, but they are just as valid for all the other main exam boards - AQA, Edexcel, WJEC, CIE etc.
Thanks for watching,

2:03 I take AQA and I've been told by my teachers that I should always use the rounded answer instead. Any thoughts? Maybe it's just the different exam boards and I know they sometimes allow a range of* answers but I think AQA are just different for this case.

  • @chewypiano7194

DynestiGTI If you do AQA, then your teachers are 100% wrong. Always use the exact (not rounded) value in all steps. The one time you should round your answer is the end. I have done past paper questions and the mark scheme doesn’t show to accept a range. The mark scheme only shows the exact answer for AQA.

Shekiba Hassani I usually make sure to quickly read over the values I put in my calculator before getting the answer to check there are no typos, and I rarely make calculation mistakes because of it. If you have the time also it is useful to just compare the values you have written for the calculation to the ones the question has provided because it is also easy to make written mistakes that will similarly lead to the answer being wrong
