Mississippi Pot Roast - This is Sonya Isaac's recipe.

Ойын-сауық

I learned how to do this from Sonya Isaacs Yeary. I was at their house because I was appearing on Jimmy Yeary's show, Yeary's Chapel. Sweet Sonya had this going in the crock pot and I had to get the recipe.

I never saw a salt & pepper shaker like that before. Looks fun and different. You know.. you should have a weekly Cooking show. You're really fun to watch.

Thanks for sharing! I totally laughed out loud when you mentioned about 3X having the onions as a base and even went through the motions to show us how to form a little platform - I was totally onboard and thinking what a really neat idea, why didn't I think of that?!? .............. and then you just stirred it all in anyway. 🙂 LOL - love it and it does look positively delish. Thanks for always sharing a smile!

What time do you want me to come over Mark🤔😜 I live in West Texas, Monahans,,, about 40 minutes from Midland and Odessa. Remember that commercial by Oscar Myer where a husband, wife and kids are ringing somebody’s door saying “We used to live here” with big smiles and ready to eat with the people at the house that had the Aroma of good food cooking 🍳 I thought I might try that trick so I can get a taste of your delicious looking roast 😂😂😂😂

Hi Mark, Looking good. Searing the Roast seals the juices inside. When it's done take it out of the crockpot tent it w foil. Let it sit about 10 minutes before cutting. Letting it Rest redistributes the juice through out the Roast. Blessings 🌺

I don’t think it matters if it’s been sitting in liquid when it’s cooking.

When you make this pot roast, it isn't necessary to sear or let it rest. It is so tender it would fall apart before you could get it out of crock pot. It is extremely juicy and very flavorful without doing the usual things you would do to a pot roast.

You sear the meat to hold the juices in the meat so it dont dry out.
