In this 4-part lecture, theologian Ed Sunshine discusses the issue of slavery in the Bible and in relation to Church tradition and then presents two Dominican (Order of Preachers) missionaries who denounced slavery in what is now the Dominican Republic.
Ed then develops his main topic: two Capuchin Franciscan missionaries who struggled against slavery - in their preaching and writing -- in colonial Latin America.
