GTA IV really has the highest quality in terms of story, they use these themes, the music, and the entire world to really immerse you into the story. I really hope GTA VI explores more themes throughout its story and can come back to that level of depth and care that IV did.

@@Johny40Se7en So GTA V is utter shit just because it didn't have 35 mission passed jingles? Most of them are just unnecessary, repetitive and boring. You could use one for normal missions, one for epic missions, and another for tragic missions honestly. Ironically the "crap" GTA game has only 1 jingle but it gets the job done in every mission

I'm sure you all have noticed it too but the gta IV mission pass sounds cater to specific events in the story. for example Normal Missions (1:08) and so on Sad Missions (1:32) and so on Badass Missions (1:40) and so on. its lovely :')

If you want a GTA that doesn’t get much attention just take Chinatown Wars for example.

Never knew GTA IV and the dlcs had this many mission themes. It makes me love and appreciate them even more. TLAD was and still is my favorite... RIP Johnny 😢

Fun fact: originally every GTA5 character would have their own mission passed sound, for a big and a small mission: The unused 1 is the big for Franklin; The unused 2 is the small for Franklin; The unused 3 is the big for Micheal; The unused 4 is the small for Michael; The unused 5 is the big for Trevor; The unused 6 is the small for Trevor.

I don't really like them, they are bit too much in the wrong direction. In my opinion Michael is the best because it does resemble a some of his tracks but Franklin's one only resembles his cellphone ring and Trevor's one doesn't resemble anything, just sounds like a random guitar riff

Not at all,the music changes depending on the semnification of the mission,which is really cool,imagine if each gta had missions have their own music depending on importance.

04:25 but it sounds like mission passed on GTA 5 but it's one of the best games as Franklin, Michael & Trevor on PS3, PS4 & PS5 but its pretty much better sounds.

Even when GTA 2's announcer was absent on the PS1 version it was always rewarding to see the "Job Complete" card on the screen after passing a mission, the announcer's voice and the cheering crowd though makes it badass. GTA 2's the most underrated game of the series, there was just so much ambition and effort put into the game and Claude is just a badass criminal, the GameBoy Colour version really tried to revert this by going to back GTA 1's formula with no real story and having several main characters with no identity

1:31 Hello and welcome to what is hopefully my final attempt at completing GTA 5 without taking any damage. I have a max HP of 1 so any damage from any source will immediately kill me. I also want this to be a no-hit run, so Trevor's special ability is disabled. Because while it prevents you from taking damage, it does not prevent you from being hit by things. I have successfully completed every single mission without taking any damage, but have yet to do it all in one go. My current personal best for an entire run is one bit of damage and therefore one death. Obviously very close to a perfect run, so I'm hoping this time I'll get an actual perfect run and avoid all damage entirely.

I find that the GTA V unused sounds are meant for character-locked missions. 1 and 2 are gang-styled. (Franklin was from the Families, at least before the game's events) 3 and 4 are more noir. (Michael is fond of films from that genre, and I'd say that the storyline involving him and his family could be represented here. Bonus points for using the same 4 tones for L.A. Noire on the 3rd one!) 5 and 6 are rougher than the previous ones. Looks like Trevor's ambience with missions such as Mr. Phillips, Trevor Phillips Industries and Crystal Maze)

Imagine being able to program cop paranoia depending on which character you are, but being restricted from having dedicated mission complete themes for the characters due to hardware limitations.

Your basically right. The first unused one was for Franklin passing a big mission, 2nd for Franklin passing a small mission. 3rd michael big mission, 4th Michael small mission, 5th trevor big and 6th trevor small

Franklin is still families he's just not CGF which is a subsection of the families gang he made his own set which is forum gangsters and if you go to that part they will defend him from attacks

I loved how GTA4 had different mission pass themes depending on the impact of the mission. When Romans taxi company got burnt down the mission complete was the slow one 1:31

I still can't believe how ALL of these GTA is my childhood memories

5:01 that sound is ingrained into my brain. Just hearing that sound is so satisfying, especially after you've finally completed a heist with a bunch of low level randoms after hours of trying is just nirvana to my ears.

liberty city stories is rather unpopular within the fanbase which is a shame because its very underrated. it was the first GTA ive ever played.
