Goodmorning Question lang po, Makikita na agad po ba ang Answer base on the Question, Nag List Common Denaminator kase ko, sa Quiz #1 po. Ginawa kopo is 6x3 = 18 and 9x2 = 18.

Ang naging formula ko is: 4-3 =1 thats 25% share labor, so 3/25% = 12hrs

Ask ko lang po. Kung i-coconvert ko ba into improper fraction ang 2 1/2 hours, same pa rin po ba ang magiging sagot?

I calcue niyo lang po parang am for example 48 po Ang palitan Ng dolyar sa pilipinas ngayon po Kung meron po kayo na 1 dollar equals 48 pesos Kung meron po kayong 2 dollars I multiply niyo po sa parang 48 multiply by 2

The answer (12 hours) is not really an acceptable answer. The problem is missing details. Like, how big is the basements, how fast do they really work, what are the equipments used, what is the shape of the basement, what is their age 'cause maybe Rose is older than Lily or vice versa. Even is they worked together and finished cleaning the basememt for 3 hours instead of 4 when Rose is alone, it doesn't really mean that it would take 12 hours for Lily to do it alone. Why? Because the situation stated in the problem didn't specify how much work have they done individually cleaning the basement, and even if Lily and Rose worked 50/50 in that 3 hour cleaning, it doesn't really mean that Lily can't do the cleaning by her self and do the 100% of the work alone in few hours... Real life speaking, two persons together doesn't really mean it would reduce time by 50% because the work done in cleaning is not just divided in half, but they have to work together, even if you say there are 4 persons cleaning the basement, there will be less time to finish but not that 50% of time is reduced because again, the work is not just divided one by one, it is done together. So if Lily had to clean alone, I would say that it wouldn't take as long as 12 hours because if the work in cleaning the basement is just simple, then why the hell would it take so much longer just because of the math between just two aspects of one cleaning by herself and two cleaning together? Math doesn't solve all the problems in real world, sometimes it's too ridiculous and not acceptable.

This is so true, not because the work was done for 3 hours while they were together doesn't mean they exert effort equally... We cannot assume they have contributed 1 hr and 30 mins in cleaning unless the problem told so . This math problem cannot be really solved unless the details are precise.
