Sobrang ganda ni Miriam dito. Filipinang filipina ang beauty. Obviously favorite sya ng judges. Although she didn't win, she performed so well which the Philippines hasn't seen in a very long time.

Miriam is the PERFECT image of a Filipina beauty. with all due respect to Pia, i still think that no one has exceeded her yet among the Filipina candidates that followed after her.

Gonna have to disagree bb. Everything else was great, pero the final answer made her stumble. Still fine tho, she was wonderful.

Miriam is the epitome of the beautiful Filipina..gracefully elegant, exquisite, Pan Asian lovely, and naturally confident yet demure and charming, there is something about her that is missing among our current crop of queens!..its called Au naturelle, you can see and feel it in her bearing..she is genuine! 👍🤩🇵🇭❤

I love her elegance, grace, poise, femininity. And her walk is so amazing.

JANINE was styled exactly like MIRIAM and so was PIA wutzbach, who liked both Miriam AND janine as her model candidate. The three had the same make up styling, which is very POLYNESIAN.

The best Miss Universe we've never had! her performances during the Evening gown and Swimsuit round were unforgettable. And after many years, she remains true to her answer during the top 5 question and answer round....despite falling down many times in her life, she continues to stand up and remain strong.

Our Miss Philippines Universe 1999 was so inspiring, she set to be a good example for the rest of the women in the world even they fall on or off stage. Her book also was so inspiring ❤

Yes! I agree! This gown for me is the best PH MU delegate gown. I like Cat's gown too, but there is something in this gown that is very classy and elegant.

Marjun Tabs, for several years now, that iconic powder blue Halston gown have always been considered by fashion aficionados as one of the best gowns that ever graced the Ms Universe stage.

Some of the best gowns in my opinion are Paulina's silver linear designed gown, Zuleyka's gown is iconic, 2008's Dominican Republic's was amazing, the mirror flowers; these are best as far as I can remember, of course including Miriam's and Cat's gowns.

miss philippines the most amazing and most queenly and most beautiful but she blew the crown...

That pose in the evening gown round is just everything to me. Up to this day, still gives me the feels watching it. She has one of the the best stance and posture to ever graced the Miss Universe stage. She is like the silhouette of the Miss Universe logo ya'll

She definitely represents Miss Universe. Even the MU logo, it depicts and displays “Miriam Quiambao” with its poise and elegance.

Just imagine if she had the Q&A support that Filipina contestants now receive. She would have been unbeatable.

She’s my ultimate favorite Miss Universe Philippines up until now and forever very classy and elegant very Filipina. I know she’s the heavy favorite to win the Miss Universe crown during her time and her charisma is so unforgettable. Nakakapanghinayang lang but very proud of her.

When she was in university, she stood up to her professor who insisted that 'ma'am' was spelled without an apostrophe. Miriam argued that it was indeed spelled with an apostrophe. This was the incident Jack Wagner was referring to during the interview.

Well, being 1st runner up is superb na and for us she was the Ms. Universe during her time. Her presence and beauty to the pageant brought Philippines to the top na! It is all about the delivery, content and message of the answer is there.during that time the highest factor is the way of delivery, the confidence..if she didnt choke she should have won the crown

So regal. She did not do as well as Ms Botswana in the Q&A. But for me, she truly showed the best qualities of a graceful and modest Filipina with quiet strength and dignity. A good role model for the present generation of Filipinas.

Miriam Quiambao is elegance and grace personified. A better answer to her interview question would definitely have clinched her the crown; but it wasn’t meant to be. Nevertheless, she proudLy showed the whole universe how truly beautiful, elegant, graceful, and intelligent Filipino women are. Represent!👍👌😉😉
