This is 1993 - Ms. Kenya Moore, the 2nd African American female to win Miss USA in the United States History. You have some type of disrespectful heckler booing her. I can guess what obstacles and adverse attitudes she had to overcome during that time. For that, I am proud of this young African-American female. I am proud of her strength, poise, representation and achievements. Remembering that era, she was a role model to so many African-American females who also wanted to accomplish personal goals. She reminded us that we can love ourselves and overcome ignorance with grace, strength and dignity.

She was cool as a cucumber and wasn't phased in the slightest in that gorgeous yellow gown. However, Miss USA 2007 Rachel Smith was absolutely rattled by the uncivilized behavior of yet another Mexican audience and fell right on her bun in that stunning black liquid beading gown.

the pageant took place in Mexico. at the time, there were extreme tensions between our two countries. so when Miss USA (Kenya) made it and Miss Mexico didn't, the Mexican public wasn't very happy about that. it was bad sportsmanship. you NEVER boo someone.

​@@burundicastro8240 Yes, her poor marks all evening to Miss Brazil. It's all exposed on tape. It also did not help that Cuevas was a lot of times late in entering his scores for a number of candidates. That could change the average scores.

Brazil was robbed. I don't understand why she didn't even make the top 6. This was such a messed up pageant. From the stupid judges (especially Alonso and the scores for Brazil), to the booing audience, and to the huge crown one of the worst Miss Universe winners ever. So glad the 1994 pageant made up for this joke.

Legend has it that three little sisters were trapped under Miss Venezuela’s dress and thirty years later, they’re still living there.,

93 and 2007 Miss Universe pageants held in Mexico showed booing towards USA, not really personally to the candidate, because of the common rocky relationship between the USA and Mexico. It's unfortunate, but expected to happen when held in Mexico.
