sushmita is my fav all time miss universe... she was only 18 when she won which is soo unbelieveable. she even went on to have a successful career in bollywood winning a filmfare award (indian oscars) for her role in biwi # 1. oh plus she adopted a kid

for me the most beautiful/fabulous miss universes are holland, russia, dominican republic,puerto rico(1993) australia, and canada. the most intelligent are all miss indias(1994 & 2000) and all miss usas(1995&1997)

regardless of contraversy, MU continues to be the most followed pageant in the world. MW org has preference for UK's former colonies, perhaps because their contestants may be able to speak English more fluently, which is unfair because it is Miss World, not Miss English Speaker. However, don't forget that while one contestant may do well in one pageant, and then may not in the other, often times a top RU in one, becomes the winner in the other.

The truth is, its tougher to win in Miss World than in Miss Universe. Miss W has different mechanics to be fair. A lot of Miss U winners are only semi-finalist in Miss W or the placement in Miss W is lower. Miss U is predictable and has the same country as finalist/winner every year. USA, Venezuela, India, Puerto Rico. Venezuela and India do well in any pageant though.

verdaderamente las miss venezuela mas bonitas que pasaron por este concurso desde el 86 hasta el 06 son la de 1997 en primerisimo lugar (que robo), y la del 2001 no fue robo pero era para ese entonces la mas bella del concurso ese año...y veruska en 1998 que tambien fue un robo aunque no fue la mas bella ese año.

En 1997 Vzla era la mas bella de ese año? Y la de 2001 tambien? que va! en 1997 la mas bella era Curazao y en 2001 Puerto Rico. La mas bella fue la del 1996, quien ganó merecidamente.

Si ponemos atencion, cada año se esta buscando una chica distinta a la del año pasado, ese ano no se buscaba una belleza latina, por eso muchas de ellas quedaron fuera en el primer corte, este año gano Japon, el proximo año sera una rubia Europea o una negra. Hasta dentro de dos años mas ganara nuevamente una latina.

Yes Dayanara really deserved it she rocks! To say that she got picked up in the street by an agent wanting her to participate in the Miss Puero Rico pageant. Her mom told the agent they had no money to afford anything but the agent would take care of that. Later she won it all!!
