This was my all time FAVORITE Miss America pageant! I still remember this like it was yesterday. This was when I knew I wanted to compete in pageants one day. After I watched her win, I started working on my Gifted & Talented project the very next day and it was about the Miss America pageant. LOL

This made my heart light up so much! I couldn't help but cry tears of joy for her. I love to see people happy (dreams can come true)

I can watch this over & over again & I will always smile & laugh over Ericka Dunlap's reaction 2 being crowned Miss America 2004.

I love to see someone truly appreciate something they worked so hard for but truly didn't think/believe it was theirs until it happened. This is true gratuity for her moment. Makes me happy for her all over again and everytime I see it. She truly reveled in this moment and the suprise was priceless! GO GIRL!

The very best edition of all Miss America pageant and Ericka deserves the title and the prize. Her priceless reaction is so much natural and awesome, why not because of the scholarship. What i like in this edition is that all candidates are friendly and not ao competing with each other. The organization in that year, the host and the format are amazing. And that is why this is the best!

She raced with her then-husband Brian Kleinschmidt.

Ericka's reaction was priceless and when she was announced the New Miss America the former Miss America has to crown her and quite couldn't get it done initially because Ericka was just besides herself.....soo funny (but very genuine).

She was very supportive @ our muss gay Florida america pageants for female impersonation & came to watch her year prior to winning this. So much for being conservative! She was done up by a strong group of drag queens from orlando that winning year! Head to toe!

It is with sadness that I inform you that Florida's first Miss America, Eva Leanza Cornett (known by her middle name), Miss America 1993, passed away recently from injuries resulting from a fall in her home in Jacksonville, Florida. She was 49 years old. Condolences to her family.

It’s funny they both won a major competition in 2004 but they’re reactions were pretty much the same lol. Both had earring, necklace or a bracelet fall off of them because they were jumping for joy over they’re win.
