I'm the same way. Whenever we are at a family function, my mom warns our relatives not to leave their children alone with me, because I WILL give my young cousins sugar at the first opportunity!

Mia King I personally don't eat sweet stuffs or sugar but I always carry handful of candies/chocolates/sweet drinks with me to bribe my younger cousins so I can lord over them and do my bidding 😂

My dad did the same thing with my 5 year old cousin at a wedding once. My cousin had never had pop (soda if you're american) before and my Dad introduced him to Coca-cola. Unfortunately this had more ramifications on me then my aunt and uncle since the sugar made him really talkative and hyper and he wanted to hang out with his older cousins, primarily me, since I'm his usual babysitter. I spent the majority of the speeches trying to get him to speak more quietly (or not at all), not crawl under tables, or trying to steal bites of everyones dessert. I swear sugar turns young kids into Dash from the Incredibles!

my stepdad is the same way when my nieces and nephews come to visit because he loads them up with soda and cake like 5 minutes before theyre supposed to go home and is like lol have fun with that!

Me and my little sister are both ADD so sugar usually calms us down, well that’s until we have too much then no one can handle us. My 7th grade tears learned that the hard way when they’d give me candy or something, for a while it would mellow me out then I’d sneak some more and they would be like “What the fuck is wrong with this kid” 😂

I hope Misha got some sweet payback. 😂

My two little cousins have super hippy-type parents. So they never ever get candy or cookies. They drink kombucha and think it’s good 🤮 So at any and all family functions, we usually have a dessert table, and that table usually gets cleared off by my 13 other cousins and I giving them so much sugar 😂

I don't get the whole sugar rush thing. Is it a north american thing? I'm Brazilian and we take time to introduce sugar into kids diets, but when we do they don't get sugar high

It is when they have a lot of sugar at one time. Generally children that young are not intentionally given any or are given very little. It is not really any worse than a weirdly energetic peroid where the kid is constantly running and then suddenly passes out without much warning. By a lot I mean cake, ice cream, soda, or too much of anything that is almost entirely sugar and has no other value nutritionally. It is almost like too much caffeine in adults.

@@lightningbug3189 😂 sorry, still don't see how. Ice cream, chocolate, cake, soda cotton candy and candy is every kid's birthday party here. But they don't act any more crazy than they already are. Another thing I don't get is caffeine. It never worked on me, I can drink 10 cups of coffee and I'll still fall asleep in the next few minutes afterwards 😂😂

@@gigin6534 Well, I almost never drink caffeine and I definitely get jittery when I do have it. Some people are not as affected by it as others though, I have certainly met people who never felt any difference. Birthday parties are one of the places that are a little notorious for sugar rushes, but I did not go to or have very many as a child so maybe my experience is unusual.

@@gigin6534 its probably a tolerance thing. Kids where your from are used to candy, here in america, parents try not to give their kids candy. So when they have candy, they go MENTAL
