This song sounds like it was written mostly by Misha, and "Optimist" sounds more like Tosin's writing, in my opinion. Both amazing tracks!!

I'm thinking the same thing!
I like how this song almost sounds peaceful at times in the first half and by the second half it becomes real ominous. This is a different kind of heavy.

Heavy on the different kind of heavy, word.
I really with both songs were on Spotify, etc. already.
What makes this even more brutal is that ambient background dissonance.

When I listen to this song, the intro brings forth something very fragile, I imagine a lonely dying light, twinkling to stay alive, trying to find reasons to keep on burning. At 1:10 the song keeps progressing and you find out the story of the candle what it's gone through, what it has seen, the love it's lost as it's the last one still to be. As he fades it into the nothing, he won't let go, even though the wicker cannot sustain itself, it still wants to burn, because if it goes out, it would signify the end for him but more importantly the end of who he cherished, disappearing with him, as if they never existed in the first place. At 2:35, he realises that he cannot cope with this idea and his love and the love he received is too strong to be forgotten, he finds a new strength, one that burns hotter than any conceivable fire , it consumes him in a dark flame. So dark the space around him seems to be light. He becomes rage, raw with hate, feeling cheated. He will never forget.

This got me thinking of like the birth and demise of MAN Song starts off with the birth, progressing through the childs life in school, graduation and into manhood then at 2:47 his life spirals downwards quickly thus stripping him of his hope and optimistic views of life he had growing up and molds him into a pessimistic slave.

An ostinato alternating between 2 notes, 1 of which is the 1st or 5th of the key, has been used for literally hundreds of years - better sue 90% of composers that have existed.

This collaboration, the "sonic unity" - is just hilarious, you can hear the thoughts of the pessimist/optimist theme, like they're your own perception of sound at the moment, with these emotions written in these notes. This is fckn' awesome.work, really amazing. \m/

Loving the ambience in this song, kudos to Misha and Tosin for making exceptional music as always! :D
holy cow!!!!!!!!!! playing them at the same time sounds incredible
Once again I find myself listening to this song... relatable?
I am so grateful for this.. Perfect. Misha + Tosin are what it's about
that's the craziest thing ever. Thanks you for bringing this to my attention.

Misha didn't write anyone on Clear except for Zero. Two of the tracks were written as a group, and each of the other tracks was written by each of the members.
Dammit son.... Love when unique musicians collaborate and create jams like this
I love how the synth pads throughout the track, are giving u this "BIG" wall of sound kind of feeling as if u are Ascending from Earth...
The two note opening sequence is very Zimmer-esque. Beautiful.

thats a really good way of just looking at it straight up without even thinking about it being an opinion to someone else saying. really cool
very nice track, two great musicians for sure
So awsome...
Oh gawd. They made a dream band again !!!
It's amazing how good they sound on top of eachother haha!
pretty awesome stuff they collaberated on!

definitely!
I love this atmosphere.
Hope to see it live soon!
fantantico , fire under me amazing song
Awesome track! Reminds me a lot of Mogwai's The Hawk Is Howling album. Awesome production, Misha!

I want more like this and Optimist.

Most important thing!
"Mishabasi"!! That's good shit. These 2 song are extremely cool.
The start is Nobuo Uematsu all over.. that is so awesome.
That's a good thing!
shit puts me on another realm when that low Ab kicks in. assuming its played on 7 and not fretted somewhere low on the low F# with an 8. either way shits mean AF

yessss
this song is an emotion
it works!
Oh, nice! I didn't know that
I love you for knowing them.
Thanks man.
Yes.
I think it's dope as hell that Misha has been really showing his Uematsu influence in recent stuff.
Mosin Abasoori .. nailed it.
as a side note... I love this cover art
holy shit !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Urinating the crowd, I like your intro
That was like the music version of a mountaintop finish at the Tour de France. More brutal as it goes along! Had me tricked at the bottom! haha
This is absolutely beautiful. I would have liked more groove in the heavier part though. Especially with such a nice melodic intro
That ending is so metal
Pure Meshuggah vvorship. Avvesome.
If you get it right its the coolest ambiance I've ever listened to EVER!
❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥
The feeling I get when i listen to this song is fucking breathtaking. I picture myself a Captain of a huge pirate ship sailing over the Caribbean or some shit, then coming into contact with a colossal squid, then obliterating it with cannons and harpoons and shit. THANK YOU TOSIN, THANK YOU MISHA.
wow, that was intense...Paul Chain did it on purpose on a cd, he put a song on the right channel and another one in the left...called ...in time. A grade nutter!
channel name soo epic
The glass overflows
misha and tosin? Perfection
I've always been of the opinion that music provides the emotion and the vocalist focuses it into words, at least ideally. Sometimes the music is powerful enough that you don't need a vocalist, but sometimes it's too complex to understand without words. That's just me though.
this is too fucking amazing to not have like 5,000 views already
Holy crap..........
Geez, the outro was Earth crushing.
pretty awesome i bet everyone was expecting the brurtalz djentz
