Greetings everyone. Today, I bring you another drum cover of the song, Crimson Ghost, by the legendary horror punk band, Misfits. Their music became highly influential to various punk rock and heavy metal bands.
Misfits are known amongst fans by two separate eras; the Danzig era and the Graves era.
In 1977, singer and songwriter Glenn Danzig, formed the band with drummer Manny Martinez adding Jerry Only on bass shortly after. During the early 80's, Misfits recruited Jerry's brother, Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, to play guitar. They then produced the albums Walk Among Us in 1982, and Earth A.D/Wolfs Blood in 1983 until they disbanded that same year. This was the Danzig era.
In 1995, Jerry and Doyle reformed the band adding vocalist Michale Graves, and drummer Dr. Chud. During their time, they released two albums; American Psycho in 1997 and Famous Monsters in 1999 until they disbanded in 2000. This was the Graves era.
Personally, I like the Danzig era more but the Graves era has many good songs like the one I'm playing in the video.
