Mystical music from the other side of the universe.
Near the station "Beacon 51", on the edge of the inhabited planet Ninmah, lies the monastery Rievaulx. The venerable sisters of this convent control Beacon 51 as one of the last outposts of humanity and is also one of the loneliest places in the known universe. Life in this seclusion repeatedly puts the sisters to the test. Are they really alone?
The title Miserere is a reinterpretation of the Aeoline title Miserere, for church organ and synthesiser, which was performed in 2019 in the Cathedral of San Lorenzo in Lugano, Switzerland. Every year during Lent, theatre performances take place in the Cathedral. These are international productions on various spiritual themes. Miserere is a title from the theatre play "La Passion die San Lorenzo" based on the book by David Maria Turoldo (1916-1992) and was selected from a cycle of 8 titles.
The concept video was generated with the help of footage material and AI software. The music was of course composed by Walt Zweifel and mixed and mastered by Mikel Sirman.
